    good addition to neighborhood

good coffee, food and music. welcome alt. to next-door starbucks. only complaints: they don't take reservations and they refuse to offer decaf. I'd be more of a regular if good decaf were available.

    Welcome Back Park View

The wait is over. While I'll miss the quaint old school diner set up of this place, the new {slightly prohibition-esk} Park View is back and as inviting as ever. CASH ONLY Atmosphere: warm & cozy, edison & candle lighting, hardwood, antiques, roomy, friendly solo dining option, date night quality, football minus the sports bar feel. Price: More than fair with a $5 drink happy hour lasting until 8pm, food price & portions are in sync. Drinks: Great taps, local and seasonals, multiple bottled beer options and unique house recipe cocktails Food: warm, quick, great array {get the dips & pita to start}, tastes like home cooking at a price that doesn't feel like you're breaking the bank, lots of sharables, sandwiches, salads, sliders...breakfast too. Call ahead to place an order & pick up. Or grab a drink at the bar, peruse the menu, order, grab 1 more drink, pay CASH, grab your food, and go...but you'll want to stay b/c the gal at the bar is a dear and makes you feel at home { :

    Best value in the area

The place has been closed for months. The landlord refuses to allow restaurant to upgrade bathroom but they are working on sone improvements and should reopen in early 2013. Better call before heading there. Good food, great jazz music. Best deal in this ragtag neighborhood if fake stores and gaudy storefronts. It's glorified diner food but in the last 2 years their turkey burgers went downhill.

    Great breakfast spot

This place has great breakfast and service. No matter if I'm eating in, or ordering for delivery. they're always on point with everything. thank God I only live 2 blocks away.

    Decent Food, Nice Peeps

The food at this place is consistently decent, as diner food goes. And I love diner food. The burgers are good, the fries are good. Pretty much everything is good, and they have some fairly original options available for a diner. My one beef (no pun intended) is that they really need to get someone other than the Cookie Monster to answer the phone in the mornings. Instant headache. And far too often, there are order errors in unbelievably simple orders. Cut that out already.

    Good diner

The Park View is normally my go-to for weekend brunch. Serving breakfast until 4pm, it's nice to know my boyfriend and I can roll out of bed, roll down to the Park View and have a nice breakfast all for less than $15. Lately we've been enjoying their delivery. And, while I wish they had a few more diner staples like tuna fish salad and reuben sandwiches, it's still my go-to when I'm hungry and can't bring myself to make dinner.
