Very Good But...
Loved this place, as a Brit I a always intrigued to try our 'cuisine' overseas, is you can call it cuisine. yep we have a bad reputation for food but home cooking is something else. What I don't understand is why nobody can understand the difference between a Shepherd's pie and a cottage pie. Shepherd's pie is ALWAYS made with minced lamb and cottage pie is ALWAYS with beef. Why when I come here do I find Shepherd's Pie with beef, makes no sense and there are any brits over here. Just odd!

The real dog's bollocks
As a long term expat Brit trying this place for the first time all I can say is that the fish and chips here are the real dog's bollocks, the best this side of the pond (a few favourites in Nova Scotia not excepting).

Excellent Sunday lunch
My friend and I stopped in for Sunday lunch a few weeks ago and it is a huge treat. While it is definitely not a health conscious menu, the food is definitely worth it!

A neighborhood favorite
My family and I have been going to the Chip Shop since it opened (now years ago!) and it is a perennial favorite. The Fish and Chips are obviously a favorite (note: at the moment they are offering a recession lunch special that gives you a smaller portion of fish, but with a salad, for much cheaper than the regular portion). But other favorites include the English Breakfast on weekends, the Chicken Curry and chips (the chips do get soggy underneath the curry, but they absorb the curry, a trade off) and the Chicken and Mushroom Pie with Chips. The pie is a personal favorite, large pieces of chicken and mushrooms shoved into a pie with a beautiful gravy. There is enough gravy to keep everything in the pie juicy, but not too much to soggy up the Chips mounded beneath the pie. In recent visits, I have eschewed dessert, but the Fried Mars Bar is the best thing in the world. And if you have a love of Reese's, the Fried Peanut Reese's are for you. The puddings are good too. You may leave feeling overstuffed, but it's totally worth it!
