I've never written a review on Seamless before, and I rarely write reviews in general but I really just had the most unbelievable experience with this place. The background story is that I've been at home for 5 days incredibly ill and thus been ordering in a lot. I had eaten at Park Cafe in the past and always enjoyed it, thinking it was a cut above the standard dinner. One of those reasons is that they serve fresh squeezed orange juice. Today I ordered two soups and two fresh squeezed orange juice (there is an option for regular orange juice on the menu as well) and they sent two full on "from concentrate" orange juices (they honestly weren't even as good as a generic tropicana). I figured it must have been a mistake so I called them to let them know and I was immediately berated by the man who answered the phone. He was yelling at me to "speak up" (I have pneumonia so my volume only goes so high) and he wouldn't listen to me and started screaming at me "you only ordered one! so we sent only one! We sent what you ordered!!" When I finally had him calmed down enough to actually listen to what I was saying, and that I was not arguing with the quantity of what he had sent he told me to "come in here and look at the package they order the juice in, it says "fresh squeezed!!!"" At this point I honestly don't care that much about the 10 dollars, nor would I have made them redeliver since it seems clear they don't actually have fresh squeezed orange juice (which is fine, just take it off the menu -- I wouldn't have ordered the regular orange juice anyway and had I not known they used to actually have fresh squeezed orange juice they squeezed on site I probably wouldn't have taken the risk) or even refund my card, though that would have been the right thing for them to do. But the way I was treated was absolutely unprofessional and as a business owner myself I am floored that people think it's ok to operate in that way. Shame.

Food is great and reasonably priced. But, what makes the place a treat is the character of the owner and staff. Be sure to ask to meet George. He'll be happy to stop by your table for a little chat.

The food is fine, nothing bad, but nothing special. My friend and I came in when there were three other people. By the time we left there was no one else. And they still complained about the umbrella strollers. On the weekend I wouldn't try it. It's a really cramped space. But when it's empty?

I was expecting Tzatziki (made with thick Greek yogurt, garlic, and lemon), but received some watery, white cream that tasted like spoiled mayonnaise. They should delete Tzatziki off of their menu or follow a traditional recipe. The dill pickles, which should have been crisp and bright green, were pale and mushy. The only other dissapointment was being told the waffle machine was broken when trying to order a Belgian waffle. The other food was decent diner food. The waiters are friendly and helpful. The space is cheerful enough for a quick, causual meal with friends or family.

This is a nice local eatery, a diner-style place where you can have breakfast, lunch or dinner. Try an early breakfast during the weekend and you'll have the place to yourself; later on it becomes crowded. They accept credit cards but there is a minimum of $20.

Went to Park Cafe for the 1st time last Sunday and getting ready to go back today. The Sunday breakfast really hits the spot and the service is awesome.

Park Cafe is one of them. I'm a Brooklyn native and this is the place to get REAL diner food and the atmosphere is lovely, with absolute charm. For all you haute design gourmets or bourgeois poseurs , don't judge a diner by its modest cover. You can get a delicious meal and not spend over $11! In NY? This place rules.
