I was so excited to finally try this restaurant and it lived up to every expectation. Unlike a previous review I did not find the food over-salted one bit and being someone that does not cook with salt I did not even find the food having a salt flavor, the dishes were seasoned perfectly with the ingredients described on the menu. The service is outstanding; knowledgable of the menu, extremely helpful and attentive. The room is beautiful. If you are dining ask not to sit near the bar area as that can be loud. There is a second dining room which is more intimate and quiet however it does not have the beautiful atmosphere of the main dining room but it is still cozy and quaint. The food and drink are on the pricier side but this place gives you a dining experience and fair portion sizes. I will definitely go back each season.

I was excited to try this place since I had heard such good things. The space is gorgeous and the service was great. Almost every single dish, however, was ruined by a heavy hand with the salt - like to the point that things were inedible. The trashy music didn't help either. Sad to say I won't be back.

This restaurant is one of the best restaurants I've been to in NYC. The atmosphere was so nice and the food was amazing!

Excellent service. Wonderful selection of apps, entrees and desserts (a couple of supplements but that enabled them to provide more choices) and several nice wines by the glass for 7 bucks. Service was excellent - brought bottle to give us a taste of wines we ordered, offered to switch my app if it was too spicy because I asked about the level of spiciness. Did exactly what restaurant week should do - encouraged us to go back to enjoy the regular menu.

This was our second and last visit to Park Avenue. Does the management really think the loud, meaningless, incessant, pounding bass that requires everyone to talk loudly, adds to patrons' dining experience? My friends and I go to restaurants for good food and to enjoy good conversation, not for the music someone chose for us to hear. Listening to that bass ruined what should have been a good experience.

While the restaurant's website continues to advertise that it's Park Avenue Summer and the summer menu (and it is listed on opentable as Park Avenue Summer), upon arrival we learned that they already switched over the menu and scenery to Autumn. While we have enjoyed our meals there in the past, we had a drink at the bar and left -- we had been looking forward to trying the summer menu and given that they attract customers with the changing seasonal themes, we were somewhat bothered by the fact that they hadn't updated their press.

In a world of 'what's the next hot place,' this restaurant may not rank; but the food if fabulous, the setting comfortable and chic, the service attentive and welcoming and the brunch price a bargain considering the quantity and quality of the food.
