Would not go back
While the decor was tasteful and autumn-appropriate, the room was way too dark. Flashlights were a must for each of my fellow diners. Service was timely, but robotic. Music was too loud for us to enjoy conversation without talking loudly enough to strain the voice. Food was very good. Coffee was tepid both times it was served. The martinis were the best thing about Park Avenue Autumn.

Worth the trip, but probably not going back.
My husband insisted we spread our wings from downtown and head to this trendy spot. The decor is very cool. The tables are a little to close together. Was not to crazy about the snooty upper-east siders. Also, kind of loud. The service was attentive, very comfortable and perfectly paced. My husbands veal chop was perfect. My clams casino delicious. My lamb shank was very fatty- tasted good going down but not so good after. I really wanted the Dover Sole but at $48 I couldn't do it. Not sure I would make the trek again but my husband might bring clients there.

Disappointed
Had dinner this evening at Park Avenue Autumn and this is my first review...... it was disappointing. As interesting as the interior design is, the food is ordinary to bad at best. Had the pork chop shnitzel which was totally greasy. The side of broccoli with chitos was floating in butter and the french fires were not crisp or flavorful. Went with four friends to celebrate a birthday. Would not recommend this restaurant at this time. They need to work on the food.

Very good dinner!
Had dinner last night at Park Avenue Autumn--very good. Decor is lovely. Service is good. Food ranges from very good to excellent. Favorites: gnocchi, potato latkes, scallops, swordfish, carrot cake with brie. No sign of the recession at Park Avenue Autumn--restaurant was full by 8 p.m.

Best Restaurant Week Pick
For the past few years, my roommates and I have always planned a restaurant week date. We went here to check out the restaurant that changes with the seasons...and it was well worth it. First, unlike some restaurants that participate, the dishes they offered were straight from the menu, so you were getting what they really offer, not some cheap version. I had the salmon tartare to start, which was amazing- big chunks of salmon. The roast chicken was great (my roommate had the salmon and loved it). But dessert may have been my favorite course- the banana pudding was mouth-watering and the perfect cap to the dinner. The service was great (I actually left a bag in the restaurant and the waiter chased me down the street to return it!) and the decor was very fitting of park avenue "summer." My only complaint, and a small one, was that it was on the cold side in the restaurant. I should have brought a sweater. But this place is definitely worth checking out- especially if you can get in for restaurant week. We're planning on checking out the other seasons, as well!

Very Good
Went tonight for restaurant week; menu was delicious, service was great and very attentive. All of the food was well seasoned and tasted fresh and was very seasonal. Great concept.

Great Restaurant Week Experience
We went to Park Avenue Summer for Restaurant Week. The menu had a great variety of things to choose from and the food tasted fresh and well-seasoned. The staff was very attentive and not too pushy. The decor was great.
