Basically I have nothing good to say about this restaurant, poor service, poor food and def poor atmosphere. For a restaurant based as a steak house they certainly need to learn how to cook well. They burned to the point of hockey puck texture 2 cuts of steak and both being over priced they offer no pork or any other option of chicken and salmon other than grilled. It took about 30 mins to get our appetizer and drinks alone. Its loud and the drinks are 80% liquor which would be a good thing until your starving and waiting on a burnt piece of filet Mignon. My advice do not go there I live but a couple of blocks away thought it was going to be better after they shut it down and reopened obviously not!

I am literally sitting here "on hold" (after more than 20 minutes) on the telephone trying to order dinner so decided to multi-task and write a review at the same time. We moved to the Sugar Hill area of Harlem about a year ago and have ordered take-out from several nicer places many times. It is always a challenge with Parilla for two reasons: first, whoever answers the phone inevitably has to battle the extreme noise from the music and, presumably, the crowd in the restaurant and, therefore, cannot hear anything you say. Second, even if they manage to hear you over the loud noise, they are not at all familiar with their own menu and (every time I have called over the past 6 months) whoever answers the phone does not speak English well at all. When I try to order their first response is to either hang up when they can't understand me, or put me on hold indefinitely until I hang up and call back. When I finally manage to order something as simple as "Pan Seared Tuna" (which is on their menu) they just simply cannot understand what I am saying no matter how many times or how slowly I say it and when I ask to speak to a manager they hang up on me. When I was finally understood as ordering "Pan Seared Tuna" and "Filet Mignon" (I mean, really, these are high end items! Can you not hire people who have heard of these things?) I was informed they were out of both. I keep trying because, when I actually am able to get food from Parilla it is always good. Better than most in this neighborhood. But the food is just not worth the half hour it takes to get an order through.

They should provide a better service to the customer and i think they don't do delivery. To bad, sometimes i don't want to go out !

The place is great, good food and nice environment. The lunch special is delicious and for a great value. Less than $7.00.

i want to keep it simple with this place. the environment is very appealing compared to the other restaurants around here. the food is okay, but i think it's a bit expensive, especially these are dishes the can be made at home, there's no special plating to go with the environment. to give it that extra "value"..etc. The service is poor....we waited and waited... i expected the manager to say here's a drink on us for the wait...but of course that did not happen. The drinks are great though...but not worth me coming again. too bad..they have a great place.

From 4pm - 7pm they have $2 wine and beer. They also have $3.99 appetizers but the portions are rather small for those and there is not a lot to choose from, however the wings are great!

I got at the restaurant for dinner at 6:50pm, and we were served with drinks in 5 min. While waited for the food, they served us small pieces of toasted bread, the bread was kind of to toasted to enjoy, my wonder bread at home is better and fresher. We then waited for our dinner. Then 40 min. later it got there, just when I was puting on my jacket and when I was just about to pay for my drinks and leave. I sat down and said ok the food is here. Though I was very upset already of the waiting, I started to eat. The steak was good, but had to much fat in it, and the rice taste like riceoroni. I can truly say that the service was not so great and the waiting for the food is not fun. The atmosphere is good, along with the music, that's the only thing going on in that location. My family owns a restaurant and service, and food is number one for us.
