    really great gem

I have eaten here a few times now. food is fresh. service is great-attentive, friendly, prompt, low key. portions of food are HUGE. really nice atmosphere-love the open windows and the corner location. it is off the beaten path for soho/nolita, so I do hope it makes it, but this is now my favorite go to restaurant in the area.

    Good food, friendly staff

Have been here for both lunch and dinner. The food is good, and the staff is very friendly albeit a little slow. Maybe it's because they're newly opened and understaffed? Worth a try if you're in the neighborhood.

    just amazing

i went to this restaurant last week and didn't expect anything amazing. i was certainly wrong once i had a taste of the grilled chicken. even the customary bread tasted delicious. i had a great glass of wine, and lastly i had the profiterolles for dessert. nothing short of spectacular. it wasn't even that expensive. they do accept credit cards and are not byob anymore as they have a full liquor license.

    Great find

Being able to get a reservation for a large group on a Friday night at 8:30 usually is not a good sign, but this place proved that theory to be wrong. The hosts were warm and convivial, the food was outstanding (especially the tuna tartare and steak tartare) and the prices on target. Portions were a nice size and the wine list was extensive and fairly priced. We just loved the atmosphere of the small and intimate dining room. Definitely will return.

Wow - you need to try this new restaurant

"WOW" is all I can say. I was in Soho and went by this very unassuming French restaurant named Parigot. I had never heard of it but was attracted by the ambience. It was warm and inviting. First of all, the place was very welcoming. It is owned by a very nice French couple. They make you feel at home. Next came the food - everything was great! I had the tuna tartare and my friend had the mussels. They were both unbelievable. Next was the steak and the salmon - all was just so tasty. We ordered vegetable routille as a side dish. That ended up to be two side orders of the vegetables. We ended with the desert. Though I am not a big desert person, the profiterolle was great. We brought two great bottles of wine and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The kicker is that it is relatively inexpensive. You need to go to this before it gets too discovered.

    Small gem

My girlfriend and I went on Valentine's. This is a new French place in the neighborhood and opened only a week or so ago with no fanfare. A small Prix Fixe menu, no word on the street, we had little idea what to expect. Delightfully surprised with each course. We kept sampling the other's dishes with moans and swoons. Mine: salmon terrine, scallops in saffron sauce, and a wh/choc mousse. Hers: mermaid soup;duck in raspb sauce;creme brulee. The decor is light, almost casual family style; the layout somewhat small, but has charm. The food goes to the next level and competes with some of better French meals I've had in the city. Currently, they are BYOB, license they said any day. But I kinda like it, b/c there's a wine store across the street and we got our own bottle. Zero question about returning. I'm a sucker for good French and here the flavors were clean, delicate, and -if I'm not too conflicting- rich. Plus the family that runs it seem awful nice.
