    Authentic food - great space

Went with a group of friends and had an amazing meal. The room is big but designed so it doesn't feel massive. The bar is toward the back and is a very friendly place. The apps were all fabulous! Loved the tomato-cucumber-feta salad! "Yesterday's Lamb" was awesome and my friends who tried the moussaka said it was perfect. Sorry I can't remember the excellent red Greek wine we had - oh, well, I'll just have to go back to find out.

    enchanting decor, luscious food

My husband and I shared the delicious meatballs in wine sauce, he had the seared tuna and I had the 24 hour lamb, both excellent. We didn't have time for dessert but we will be back. We saw in the entrance, very attractive - but the main room is the place.

    Great Greek Food

We visit NYC eatieries quite often and Kellari's Parea was on our list to try for Greek food. It did not dissappoint. Food and service were excellent. Appetizers were very good but oddly, traditional hummus was absent from the menu. No problem since there were many other great options from which to choose. The special the evening we visited was braised beef short ribs with feta mashers. Very good with meat falling off the bone. Had to try the Greek wine- with a recommendation from our server, we were pleased. Service was excellent. Ambience is very nice, subtle, not too noisy.

    Great lunch special

Have had two great meals here, most recently lunch at which most of us ordered off the $21.95 lunch price fix menu which was excellent. Very generous portions, nice atmosphere, great food. Highly recommend!

    Greek is back in style

I was told about this resturant from a friend. First impression was I felt I was back home the smell the feel brought back memorys. The decore was simple but elgent a very warm place on the side of the resturant hade a wood stone oven as per the waiter told us for pizza and few other dishes they made. We went to the bar first to have drinks I was amazed how many ouzo thier were bing a bistro great touch. Then we were seated by the hostes great looking peole. We started with pizza thin crust perfect just the right amout of toppings then to the octupos, lamb riblets and then to thalisna seafood mussles shrimp scallops great awsom I was blown away . But when we recived the main course yesterdays lamb it was the house special no words can explane the texter, flavor out of this world my friend had the lamb shank she thought it was awsome we finsh of two bottles of wine dessert great loukomades and it was MONEY well spent I am a regular.

    too expensive

thought this was supposed to be a more moderate version - turns out its just a 2nd location - overall too expensive for greek food - almost as expensive as some of the other top ones that it just can't compare to.
