    Utterly unremarkable...and disappointing.

Utterly unremarkable...and disappointing. Mediocre classic village salad and fish...

    exceptional service

what a wonderful restaurant. the staff was warm from the moment we arrived. there is a large wait staff but each one is pleasant, warm, and seemed mentally present. the food was very good especially the tzatziki and freshly made pita. i enjoyed a nice lychee martini as well. we told them it was our anniversary and although we had never been there before, they made it special for us. there is a lovely atmosphere and we'll definitely be back.

    Great food, Even Better Service

Went to Parea last night and was thoroughly impressed with the experience. The grilled Octopus starter was probably the best I've had in Manhattan. The main course, a whole Mediterranean bass, was unfortunately small and bony. The owner instantly took it off the bill at the slightest mention of dissatisfaction. The baklava and standard ouzo shot rounded off the night nicely. Parea may be a little pricey, but you wont find a more accommodating staff or authentic style Greek dish in the city. Recommended Octopus, Homemade Lobster Orzo, Bakalva Dessert. 4 out of 5 stars.

    great food, but bring patience

We have now eaten 5 times here - the great food keeps beinging us back. It's not cheap, but the fresh fish, "yesterday's lamb" and the lemon potatoes are worth it. Service is often hit, sometimes miss. If you take home one things from thsi review, it should be this: Even if you order just one course, you will never spend less than 2h in this restaurant. So, if you have a free evening and the money & leisure to sit down to an excellent Greek meal, come here. If you need a quick bite, go elsewhere.

    Fabulous Greek!

Have been here twice. The room in quiet & really lovely. They really know how to grill food, whether it's cheese or fish. One of us had the moussaka & said it was better than anything he had in Greece. The fish is beautifully cooked and served.

    Go here!

Enjoyed the atmosphere, service and food. Wow…I can’t think of a single complaint . Shared 2 apps and a grilled fresh fish w/ lemon potatoes. Everything was delicious and fresh. The manager stopped by our table several times to check in but wasn’t intrusive. Our server, Anthony, went out of his way to explain the menu and offer suggestions. Elegant but not presumptuous.
