    Poor Customer Service Experience

Have been eating at Paradise Cafe since 2007 for lunch. That is until today when they got my order wrong and refused to bring me the correct sandwich. Rather strange considering they do offer delivery service. I guess they expect their customers to walk back and forth all day correcting their mistakes (as if anyone has time to take a 2nd lunch break to walk back and forth for food). The guy who answered the phone even had the nerve to ask me if I could wait until he got off work to bring me the right sandwich. WTF?! Customer service that is typical of a group of employees that think they're doing YOU a favor by making your food! Never again Paradise Cafe (you should really think about changing that name!)

    My new favorite spot

I was headed to Hale Hearty for some soup and a buddy suggested Paradise Cafe...easily, one of the best decisions of the day. It was raining and I wanted some good soup and they most certainly delivered. Great soup, cool atmosphere and a friendly, smiley helpful staff...there's not much more to ask for. I'd recommend this spot any time of the day and any day of the week. I plan to try the entire menu.

    Relaxed, Homey, and Great!!

I've lived in the neighborhood several years, but just stopped into Paradise Cafe a few months ago. What a find. Reminds of the places in the East Village 40 years ago!! Very casual and relaxed atmosphere and a nice selection of comestibles. The soups are fantastic and the staff is also very aware of what is vegetarian and vegan. Give it a try and enjoy.

Great food shame about the service!

If you're looking for good food I would definitely recommend this place... just make sure you order take out. The service really lets the place down. You queue for ages, the staff are vacant (when not absent) and once you do get to order they bring you the wrong thing... Lucky for them the food is good enough to cover up their mistakes. If you have enough time to hang around for the staff then you should make the trip. If you want to eat within an hour (and actually eat what you ordered) I would go elsewhere.

    Great coffee and groovy hangout!

This place has got some really good fair trade coffee and yummy baked goods. I'm in to vegan stuff and I really like their choices of vegan muffins. My boyfriend and I hang out here all the time and we always love the friendly faces behind the counter. The staff is fun and efficient and play good music. If you haven't been to this place....go..you won't regret it!

Great food, fun place with a quick & fun staff

I am lucky to both work and live just up the block from my favorite little cafe in the city. They have been here forever providing me with first rate coffee, breakfast and lunch. I have turned on so many of my co workers at Google and they are all really grateful for my recommendation. Killer egg sandwiches, huge selections of excellent sandwiches.

    Fantastic on weekends

This place is my regular cafe for weekend coffee, bagels and sandwiches. I dont sample a lot of the other menu. What I love about this place is the service and those who work there. The atmosphere feels like a cafe in Vermont or Jackson, Wyoming. The girls who work there are all tremendously sweet, fun and really friendly. They do it right. I dont think they ever mess up an order. Often times when you are sitting down, they will bring your stuff to your table. They are smiling, chipper, friendly and appreciative of when customers say thanks. So, I only know the weekend staffbut they are wonderful
