Best in the neighborhood!
I come here a lot and the food is always fantastic. The best thing to do is buy one of their daily specials and bring it home for dinner they are under $12 plenty of food and delicious fresh ingredients. The chocolate chip cookies at paradis are definitely the best in the city. The young staff who work there are super nice, the owners are a little snooty and fickle. Also, don't get attached to any entree because you may not see it again for weeks or possibly ever! Sometimes their side salads are a little over priced. Again, food is excellent!

Just awesome.
I used to live near here and would come here once a week. The food is fresh and great. All the sandwiches are delicious. The soups there are even more amazing. They're full of fresh ingredients and have great flavor. I could have their chicken chili everyday. Their daily specials and frozen take out foods are really good too. Some of the chicken breast dishes may be a bit dry but the comfort foods like chili con carne with cornbread and mac n' cheese is right on the money. You really can't beat the quality and price of this place.

Delicious!
I live across the street and go here regularly... Their food is always delicious, from the seasonal pot-pies to the staple sandwiches of pork or roast beef. I'll never forget the day I got an apricot scone fresh & warm in the morning... what a delightful texture with just a hint of sweetness... as good as any I've had in London or Paris. I don't drink coffee and can't comment on their beverages, but you can really taste the care and quality they put into the food.

Hidden Gem
It's easy to miss this place tucked away on an otherwise drab block of 4th Avenue below Union Sqaure, but it is well worth seeking out. The baked goods are phenomenal (esp. the cheese scones and the apple spice cake), the sandwiches and soups are stellar, the prepared meals and salads are scrumptious, and even the comparatively standard hot and cold drink menu is studded with surprises. (Oh, and did I mention that they might have the best chocolate chip cookies below fourteenth street?) The staff are funny, and the friendly owners are almost always around; and the prices are thoroughly reasonable. It's obvious that they care a lot about good, uniquely delicious food here, and put a lot of thought and effort into their recipes; they are constantly experimenting and expanding their repetoire with new dishes and baked goods. I really can't recommend this place highly enough.

The love is in the food
Great brownies and sandwiches, esp the pork and pickled cabbage sandwich, heated in the panini grill. I always go in ready to get a salad but get lured by that sandwich. Cute place owned by a friendly and cute couple.

Tastiest Prepared Food Around
This place puts alot of care into their prepared dishes, using fresh, interesting ingredients. Everything is made on-premise. 100x better than Whole Foods to-go stuff! Try the Curry Chicken salad...it's the best.
