I have been coming to Paquito's with my boyfriend for 2 years now. In that time, the salsa has lost a tremendous amount of flavor, and the service has gone downhill. However... this is a great restaurant... Love the garden in back during summer and fall, and the bus boy is so sweet and prompt at refilling our empty chips and salsa and glasses of water. The manager of this place seems clueless and I have seen several people get annoyed with him in the reataurant, but the food is great, you can't argue that. And the servings are tremendous.

So a while ago I lost the menu to my favorite Mexican place. Ever since then I couldn't find a really good place. I went on this website and looked for the highest rated delivery place. I saw this place and ordered. I'm so glad I did. The service was so fast. REALLY fast, about 10 min. The food was excellent. The only argument i would have is that the burrito was a little overstuffed. It was hold it while eating it. I had to eat it with a fork. Other than that the food was really good. It came with all kinds of sauces. The price was pretty good. This is definitely my new place.

This review is just for pick-up/delivery of Paquito's. This place possibly makes the best Mexican food in the city, and it's good value for money too! I've lived in LA and the food at Paquito's blows all the Mexican food I've had in LA hands down. The pico de gallo is fresh, they use "crema" instead of sour cream, and the salsas they use are awesome. They really season their food well, although I don't know if it tastes like real food from Mexico, but it is absolutely delicious! Really fresh, seasoned-well, with amazing flavors. If you're a vegetarian, try the Acapulco Burrito, it's huge and it tastes spectacular!

After failing to find anything else we wanted tonight, we sauntered past Paquito's. The menu looked good so we popped inside. Initially, the service was good; there were chips and salsa and water on our table near instantaneously. Our order was taken quickly and the food showed up hot and delicious. Then...nothing. My wife was waiting for her food to be wrapped for about 15 minutes, and no one approached. Finally, I grabbed a waiter and got it taken care of. Five minutes after the food was brought back, the check was slapped on the table. No mention of dessert of coffee. Due to the food being wonderful (and the fact that I've had a devil of a time finding good Mexican food), I will give it one more try. If the service has not improved, I'll continue my hunt for something better.

I go to the one on 1st Ave at 9th Street. So that's the one I'm reviewing. Never eaten in. Only had delivery and eaten in the take out section on the left. While this place doesn't look like much from the outside (or even on the inside for that matter) it's one of my staples. The people who work there are nice. They prep the food quickly. The prices are great and the food is even better. If you've never tried this place, check it out. I LOVE the Chile Con Carne, the Beef/Chicken Asada Burrito, and the Rice and Beans with Beef/Chicken. I highly recommend this place.

One of the best meals we had in NYC this past summer. We visited based on a recommendation from a hotel employee and were wonderfully surprised. Paquito's is a rare find with a beautiful patio, fantastic fresh food and excellent friendly service. If you get a chance sit out back on the patio, it is like the garden of eden, beautiful and cool on a hot day. The food was great, fresh with too big portions. We couldn't finish it all eventhough we really wanted to eat every last bite. We will visit again the next time we are in NYC.
