Despite several bad reviews I love Paquito's. You have to remember, this is a quick eat and go mexican place. I order lunch and dinner from them at work several times a week and it's always fast, hot, and a good value. If you want gourmet Mexican go find a good Mexican restaurant in the city, but for a delicious quick and basic meal pick up or order paquito's. They also serve great, HOT hot saucce

I have been enjoying Paquitos on 1st Ave. for many years now. I am a vegetarian and I love that they have so many delicious entrees for me to choose from. Their tacos, nachos, and salsa are some of the best around (and the price is always right). The delivery is always speedy and I have to point out that the backyard of their dining restaurant is a great Margarita spot in the summer.

As many complaints as Paquito's could get, there are as many compliments. The staff is really cool people, the owners incredible great people, and they all work towards improving it's services all the time. I have talked to both the staff and the owners, and they are always open to suggestions. Now, that I'm back to my country I could recommend this place to everyone I know is travelling to NYC. They have cheap prices for the good stuff they have in all of their restaurants. Of course, they may have flaws from time to time, but instead of complaining give them a chance, and give some suggestions. They really love what they do. What I really love about Paquito's besides it's prices, it's that they will always try to fix their flaws, and try to make the best service on NYC Tex-Mex food. If one the owners, staff, or the owners family reads this (as I know one of them does), Just want to let you and Paquito's staff knows how glad I am of you guys. Keep going with the good job. My deliver took 30 minutes, they gave me the wrong drink and they gave me no utensils. I have ordered from here a few times and its always frustrating.

i don't get it. how did this place get such good reviews? i ordered the enchiladas and it was unrecognizable. they were soggy, flavorless, and stuffed into a container that was too small. and the only thing inside was WAY too much chicken, no flavor whatsoever. in 10 years of living in the city, i've never seen anything like this. mexican food is pretty hard to mess up, even my little brother can make a decent taco. i can't believe i just paid $16 for this meal when there's so much good, cheap food in the area =( the only good thing was that it arrived within 10 min. but everything was leaking inside the delivery bag. i would have preferred to wait a little longer for something i could actually eat

Such good tacos - and awesome place to go for lunch

I have been coming to Paquito's with my boyfriend for 2 years now. In that time, the salsa has lost a tremendous amount of flavor, and the service has gone downhill. However... this is a great restaurant... Love the garden in back during summer and fall, and the bus boy is so sweet and prompt at refilling our empty chips and salsa and glasses of water. The manager of this place seems clueless and I have seen several people get annoyed with him in the reataurant, but the food is great, you can't argue that. And the servings are tremendous.
