Fantastic Find
This place is a fabulous find with most entrees costing less than $20, amazing portions, great wine selection and a gorgeous atmosphere. It's a good time for a girls night out or a romantic evening for two. I would recommend this to anyone who is on a budget but who also is looking for that special NYC dining experience.

ummm talk about amazing
I was looking for a place that I could have my b-day brunch the following Sat to accommodate 15 people. I was sick of calling places only to get shot down until I called Paprika. I have NO clue how Paprika wasn't booked already - maybe I got lucky, or maybe it's truly one of those hidden gems. The food was brilliant - if you go - PLEASE try the green eggs with polenta. I've never had a better breakfast dish in my life. Anyway, I also tried them for dinner one night after I was so content with the brunch. DELICIOUS, charming and CHEAP!

Underwhelmed
Dinner here was boring and uninspired. Gnocchi was bland and a little clumpy, and despite listing sage as one of the dish's ingredients, we didn't taste any sage. Nothing hit the right note, not even my friend's lamb rag out. Wait staff was a bit apathetic, waitress didn't even thank us or say goodbye! I won't go back, there's better Italian in NY. Not sure why others like this place.

One of the Best Brunch Spots in NYC
Paprika serves fantastic brunch fare in a cozy, welcoming atmosphere and is hands down one of the best brunch spots in NYC. Plus, they offer a $12 pre fixe that includes a filling amount of food, good Italian coffee AND a glass of OJ, mimosa or bellini. Have been to many of the popular brunch spots which generally serve entrees for $12-$15 before factoring in coffee or cocktails - Paprika blows most of these places away in terms of quality and value; the only thing Paprika lacks is the trendy (often obnoxious vibe) that accompanies popularity, but this point makes the restaurant that much more enjoyable. Some specifics: FOOD (A) - includes traditional favorites and some unique dishes as well. The pesto scrambled eggs over grilled polenta dish is amazing, Fontina and mushroom omelet is great and the apple pancakes rival Clinton St Bakery (I actually think Paprika's may be better). If there was one point of criticism it would be that they tend to use a little too much salt with the egg dishes (others don't find this an issue though); DRINKS (B+) - Italian coffee is very good and they provide fresh OJ also used in mimosas and bellinis. However, no cocktails; SERVICE (A-) - very pleasant and attentive wait staff and have never had to wait for a table. Sometimes a little bit slow but seems only because they have a relaxed attitude. DÉCOR (B+) - a little plain but cozy and welcoming. I like the photographs but they are a little bit random.

elegantly simple
I have been to this local establishment many times and always enjoyed it. It is a little jewel of a place with an informal approach to dinning. Not too many things on the menu but everything on it is good to great. Wines are fairly priced and the service is warm and friendly. It may get a little too busy sometimes but at these prices I can understand if the staff is a little occupied. It may not be fancy, but the food is wonderful and well worth every penny

beautiful, delicious food, great service
we came on a saturday morning around 11:45 and even though the kitchen wasn't open yet for brunch they let us sit down and order. apple pancakes came topped with bananas and blueberries and apples (some caramelized). great fresh squeezed orange juice. very sunny place, big windows etc

Delicious and Unique!
This is an adorable restaurant with a great atmosphere. The service was friendly and efficient. I had Pumpkin Ravioli, one of their specials, and it was delicious! A unique flavor, but not too crazy - just different enough. The pasta was fresh and perfectly cooked, and the cheese and sauce were to die for! The prices were reasonable. I will definitely go back!
