Pappardella

Recently dined here with a party of four on an impromptu trip to the City. Not knowing where we would eat before taking in a show at the Beacon Theatre, we "discovered" this lovely restaurant. Our party contained a "picky" teenager, a vegetarian, and two carnivores. Everyone had several choices for dinner and everyone raved about the food. The service was above average, and the prices are fair. Two people asked for a glass of wine with dinner and the wine was indeed served when the entrees were placed on the table (that never happens). In all, this was a very pleasurable experience. I highly recommend Pappardella.

Pappardella was the first restaurant my girlfriend and I ate at when we moved here...and we just keep coming back at least twice a month. The food is phenominal and the service is even better. We eat out quite a bit and hands down, Pappardella is our absolute favorite.

I think this restaurant is overrated. The staff is friendly and they have good selection of italian menu but the way food is prepared is not very good. Chef is using too much sauce in his selections and I think it's distorting the real taste of pasta and steak I tried. It's way too expensive for this kind of taste. If I put that much sauce into my dishes, I think my dishes will taste just as good. I won't go there again.

I went to this restaurant with my girlfriend, and we both commented that the place seemed completely over-staffed. There were five people working the bar, two at the door, and about six or seven wandering the restaurant looking for someone to serve. It was honestly a bit much. That being said, the staff was genuinely concerned with our welfare, and the overall atmosphere was a delight. Our food arrived in five minutes at most. The food was good, not the best Italian I have ever had, but good enough to go back to. A bit expensive, but a great date restaurant none the less. Highly recommended.

I was walking up Columbus Ave. with my girlfriend not knowing exactly where to get a bite to eat. I had just about given up hope when this restaurant caught my eye from about a block away. We decided to try it and all I can say is WOW! The food was ready in about 7 minutes of us ordering, the service was great, and the waiters received the highest tip that I've ever left for any restaurant. To add to all its greatness, I decided to pay them another visit about a month later, the waiter remembered exactly where we sat and what we ordered on our first visit to the restaurant. Why go to any other restaurant? A+ Food, A+ Service.

the food was incredible and the waiters/waitresses and manager were all very kind and helpful. the food came fresh and hot and obviously homemade from the pastas to the sauces. the atmsophere was very comfortable. some of the prices seems a little high, but the food is definitely worth it!

This place is simply enjoyable. The food is delicious, yet reasonable. The atmosphere is probably the best part. Very comforting and makes you feel at home. The wait staff is great and are willing to talk, but can still attend to their duties. Excellent wine selection. Currently my favorite.
