never disappoints
Paola's is always busy and always good. There is value to be had on the menu, if one is careful and splurges, if you want them. The food is very good and even. The service is friendly and casual. The atmosphere is lively and happy, friends and family enjoying good food and company. After looking at some other reviews, I could not help but wonder whether we were talking about the same place. Or maybe some people are not happy with a generally confident restaurant feeding generally confident clientele.

Pretty Good
There are not a huge amount of choices for people in the Carnegie Hill area but out of all of them this has got to be one of the best. The food is very good, the service is attentive, but sometimes not particularly friendly. The restaurant itself looks like some one has put a lot of care and money into it. Overall, if you brought people from out of town here, they would thank you for it. Very nice.

Delicious
from pasta to duck, you cannot go wrong with anything you like on this menu--and they do have something for everyone. noise level is only obstacle in visiting this restaurant--very hard to hear, noise level to loud. Maybe they should remove some tables to give more space.

OMG Delish!
Like being in Italy again! Romantic, relaxed, we lingered for almost three hours just talking, laughing, enjoying every delicious taste!

Yuuuup
Had the lamb and spinach ravioli in a lamb reduction and truffle sauce. Absolutely delicious, soaked up everything on the plate. Cute, talkative bartender as well. If you on the upper end of the UES its for sure worth a try.

Noisy, noisy, noisy
I've been a fan of Paola's at her various locations. This one is attractive but almost unbearably noisy. Not worth the discomfort for what should be a pleasant neighborhood spot with good-enough food.
