There are plenty of places that charge around the same amount. And a lot of other cafes on Amsterdam are pretty darn expensive. These sandwiches are a great break from the ordinary and they have a lot of fun choices. I thought the service was quick and they brought it right to our table.

So bad that I'm writing my first review ever on MenuPages. I called ahead and still had to wait 10 minutes for them to give me my sandwich (even though it was sitting right on the counter). I thought the bag felt a little light on my walk back to work, but I didn't expect the teeny, weeny, measly thing they gave me. For $9.40 (incl tax), I got what amounted to maybe half a sandwich and that's being generous. The bread was soggy, there was hardly any chicken, the mozzarella was flavorless, and the veggies did not appear or taste fresh. I nonetheless, ate the whole thing and I'm still STARVING! Don't waste your time or money at this overpriced maker of unsatisfying sandwiches.

This is my favorite new find in the 'hood. The panini's are just amazingly fresh and the atmosphere is great. I also hired them to caterer one of my get togethers and the food and service was great.

I have ordered food from Panino several times, and most of the time they cannot dliver due to employee shortage. I love their food, specially their salads, but is a shame that their delivery service is nonexistent some days.

I've never actually been to panino sportivo for a meal but I have ordered from there multiple times and I have to say that in terms of delivery they have the not good service. From forgetting to include two out of three items to just not being able to deliver for lack of employees it is definatley the most disappointing delivery experience, and what a shame because their food is very good.

Not only does this place serve up the most amazing sandwiches you'll ever have, but if you stop by during the World Cup you feel like you have escaped the city. The waitresses are hot, and the food rocks.

The only real problem this restaurant has is inconsistent quality. I am qualified to make this assessment, since I've eaten here 5-10 times a week -- for more than two years now. On a good day, the bread is crusty yet soft, the meats tender and perfectly seasoned, the sauces lively. On such occasions, I realize that Panino will be the only thing I miss when I leave NYC. Unfortunately, there is no way to predict if it's a good day. If it isn't, the bread will be rock-hard and the meats will taste odd, perhaps even stale. Despite the poor consistency, I obviously found Panino worth trying again and again and again. No one else in New York knows how to make these sandwiches right.
