Skip the food; have a margarita.

Oy Vey; Not Olé!
I hate to crucify a restaurant in its first MP review, but, as Abe Lincoln supposedly said, "I cannot tell a lie." Panchito's served the worst Mexican food I ever tasted. The beans and rice were a congealed, American cheese-covered mass. They must have been cooked and repeatedly reheated in a microwave. The first thing that struck me about the beef burrito that accompanied the beans/rice was that it was anemically small. Seriously, it was the size of 2 small spring rolls from an hors d'oeuvre tray. Then I took a bite. I was too embarrassed to spit it out, so I choked it down. Who knows what kind of "beef" it contained. The flavor had hints of liver, and the "aroma" reminded me of the smell from those puddles between the subway tracks on a really hot day. The burritos from the frozen food section at the supermarket were a gourmet meal compared to the pigswill burrito Panchito's dished up. My S.O. also deemed her meal "terrible." BTW, the so-called food took at least 40 minutes to arrive, and the waitress, as cute and polite as she may have been, nearly ignored us the entire time we were there. A genuinely painful experience that we hope never to repeat.
