I shoulda ordered elsewhere...
I don't like reviewing stuff. It's tedious and takes me away from other things I should be doing. Right now, for example, I should be eating some tasty green curry with chicken that I just had delivered to my office so I can get my work done and head home. Instead, I'm writing a review about how the chicken curry that was just delivered kinda sucks. I'm eating it right now, but I came close to just canning it altogether and grabbing something else on the way home. It really is salty, as other reviewers mentioned. Actually, it's a whole new level of salty. It's like eating the ocean. I'm looking at a dense slick of oily sodium as I type and I'm thinking: man, I really shoulda gone with something else. And okay, the steamed chicken dumplings are somewhat of a saving grace. But the main dish just sucks, and it doesn't help that they expect me to eat it out of this super-big-gulp-sized container. No plate; certainly no bowl; nothing for me to transfer my meal into so I can eat like a human being. Sigh. I'm sitting in my office and eating this salt-saturated mess out of a trough. Ugh. Blargh. Blech. Next time, I'll take my Thai cravings elsewhere.

was too spicy but they REFUSED to fix the order!
I went Pam about a year ago a few times and the food was great. Not having gone there in a while, I decided to go there for dinner today with a friend. Everything was ok until my friend's shrimp noodle dish arrived. It was too spicy for her and we kindly asked the waitress if they could make it less spicy. Well, the waitress said that unfortunately, there was no way for them to fix the food but that they couldn't take it off the bill and that we would still have to pay for it!!! I couldn't believe what I was hearing! Never in all my years of dining out did a restaurant tell me that if we couldn't eat our food, we would still have to pay for it! We asked to speak to the manager and the waitress came back (without the manager) saying that she could give a 50% discount off the dish. We refused and after some haggling they finally took the shrimp noodle dish off our bill and offered my friend an iced tea. The quality of food wasn't the same as before but it's the horrendous service that tuned us off!!! The neighborhood is filled with Thai places so take your appetite elsewhere and avoid this place like the plague!

Too much salt
we have been here a dozen time, but not for the last year or so. We were so happy to go back again, but this is not the Pam Thai it used to be. I ordered a green curry which was so salty, I couldn't eat it. I tried a few bites, but it gave me a immediate headache. When I told the waitress she said it was because of a certain ingredient that is supposed to be in a curry. Well, I had a lot of curries but never one that tasted so salty. I ordered a Beef salad instead (which was ok, nothing special). Both the curry and the Beef salad ended up on the check.

Unprofessional staff and overly sweet food
I ordered delivery sand was disappointed. The person taking my order barely spoke English and I had to repeat myself over and over to get her to understand the address. The delivery guy showed up without any change (so unprofessional!) The food was overly sweet - good thai food is supposed to be a balance of sweet/spicy/sour/salty. This was ONLY sweet, like a pound of sugar went into my noodles. ugh. I will never ever eat here again especially with so many other good thai places nearby.

My Favorite Thai Place
My friends and I come to Pam's almost once a week (or more!). It is my favorite Thai restaurant in the city. The food is always excellent (try the pineapple fried rice with seafood or the barbecue pork appetizer, the house noodle soup, the pad kee mao, pad see eil, the squid salad, larb na with beef, papaya salad...I could go on!) and inexpensive. We often come in a large, boisterous group and the waitstaff is always gracious and tolerant. They never make us feel like we have to leave. (Of course, we always tip well, too, which helps, I'm sure. :). I love Pam's!

poor management
Food here was okay- there are definitely better Thai restaurants in the area. My boyfriend ordered a beer and it had gone bad- we both tasted it, it was not drinkable. The manager refused to take it back and we had to pay for it. I've never heard of a manager doing that. We will definitely not be going back.
