The Best of Italy on Cornelia Street!
We had a business dinner last night at Palma in the Library on the second floor. The food, service and atmosphere were absolutely wonderful! The event planner Jessica was so gracious and such a pleasure to deal with during the planning process. Remi, our waiter (although he was so much more than that) was just fantastic. He took great care of our group and definitely made this a speical occasion. Wonderful food, and the dining area downstairs, whether in the beautiful garden or in the main room, is full of energy. Everyone had a great time and I can't wait to go back!

Yum
Had an amazing birthday dinner here a couple of weeks ago. Specialty cocktails were delish, food was awesome, outdoor garden is beautiful, and service was great! I will absolutely be back!

Total Letdown
I decided to try this place since it got great reviews, but was SO disappointed. First off, the restaurant was so noisy that my husband and I couldn't even hear each other. The table was so close to the bar that people were constantly bumping into us. Secondly, we ordered drinks and then we got our appetizers but still no drinks. When we asked for the drinks, 10 minutes later they still didn't come. Finally I told them to not bother bringing the drinks once our entrees arrived. Most importantly, the food had zero flavor and is really overpriced. I would not recommend this place! There are so many better, cheaper Italian places in this city.

best of rustic italy in nyc
Palma was tucked away in a quaint corner of the west village and what a surprise! Cozy, beautiful atmosphere put us right in the mood for homemade rustic italian meal. The service was impeccable. Manager, Chris was attentive, energetic, and helpful, made us feel like we'd been old friends invited over for a meal. Piero, our waiter was equally attentive and knowledgable about the food and wine selections, matching the perfect bottle for our meal. Marino, the chef even came out to greet us toward the end of the meal, so we got the chance to commend his arancini, the lobster bisque (forgive me Marino, I can't remember the italian word for it :)) as well as the amazing homemade papardelle with kalamata olives and lamb. Which was the dish of the night at our table for it's many layers of flavor and delicate noodles. We can't wait to return for such great food and impeccable service!

Excellent, but poor value
A very pleasant place with excellent (not fabulous) food at fabulous (in a bad way) prices for lunch, when it was empty on the day I was there. When I commented about the prices and value, I was informed that the owners "didn't really care" whether there was much business or not, because the catering business was their main concern. They should decide whether they are in or out.

Less than stellar experience
Sad to say my expectations of this restaurant were shattered, because the waitress completely ruined our dining experience. Our food took forever. Then she brought us the wrong entrees, not once, but TWICE. By the time we got what we ordered, the food was cold. All we got was a half-hearted apology. Then, to top it off, the waitress completely disappeared after we requested our check. I had to ask another waiter to bring it to us. All in all, not what I expected. I won't be returning to Palma anytime soon.
