Great Expectations
I had high expectations for Pala, perhaps too high. Several friends spoke of their tantalizing pizza, that it was amazing even by New York standards. I was especially excited after the waiter spoke about the multiple types (15?) of organic flour used to make the dough with a rising time of 5 days. I have to say I was a little disappointed, perhaps because I was expecting more in the way of robust flavor (especially when ordering a gorgonzola based pizza). The pizza is light and visually pleasing, so it is easy to consume by the foot (and that is how it is served--pick your flavor by the foot--how fabulous is that?). Yet, it was missing the punch that I would expect from a delectable pizza. It is definitely worth trying and you will like this pizza if you prefer light as opposed to robust flavor. You will also leave not feeling bloated, a major plus. In terms of pizza, it is a refined taste, indeed. Most importantly, order a full (not half!) carafe of wine. Oh, and make sure to use the fresh oregano laid out on every table.

Awesome
Great food, the pizza was amazing. Not your typical greasy fare, but rather a pizza that is teeming with freshness. A great experience.

Fantastic Roman Style Pizza!
A must try is the Bufala Cruda with fresh buffalo mozarrella & basil. Second favorite is Zucca with pumkin, pancetta & smoked cheese. Go with a friends so you can share a few & try different types. Great looking place by the way!
