    Best Thai in the neighborhood!

Food is great, plus the back patio is very nice and spacious! My favorite dish is their steamed veggie dumplings. I know that this sounds like a simple standard appetizer available at every Thai restaurant in the world, but at Pagoda they are shaped into a cute little swirl.

    go somewhere else

unfortunately, like so many other thai restaurants in ny, mediocrity reigns supreme at pagoda. not worth it, plain and simple. the dishes are pretty standard, which is fine, just don't expect them to look or taste like, say, those at wondee siam (excellent) in manhattan. the spring rolls were only ok, the beef stir fry thing i got was basically beef ina little bit of brown sauce with 2 pieces of brocolli. blah. the noodles were edible, but the fish was almost not

    Not bad...better than CHEERS!

We ate there right as they opened and they were completely unorganized. BUT it was Inauguration Day so they were SLAMMED! The Fried spring rolls were off the chain and the Pad se Yu (spell?) was DELISH! No liquor license yet though....

not the best thai in the area

I ordered delivery and the food came fairly quickly (15-30 minutes) but I live about 6 blocks away so this wasn't too surprising. The person who took my order had a thick accent so it made ordering a little difficult. But what really turned me off was the quality of the food. I ordered the pork pad thai, which was ok. Not the best I have had but not the worst. They give you a good size portion. The pork was sometimes a bit tough and fatty. The pad thai was a bit on the dry side and they give you a dried piece of lime to spruce things up. I ordered dessert- I have to say, I was really shocked. I got sticky rice with ice cream and it was really gross. The sticky rice had a funky smell to it. The ice cream that came with it was basically the texture of shaved rice and tasted like milk powder. Food control and making sure food isn't spoiled should be a big priority for a new restaurant.
