Food is okay, service is poor

I go there since it's the closest Thai place to my apartment. The food is okay - not bad, not great. The problem is the service. Problem #1: They advertise they accept credit cards, yet never want to accept them. It's such a negotiation. Problem #2: They will try to charge you for more than what you ordered, or change the prices from what's on the menu.

    Eh.

Totally bland. It's not hard to find better Thai.

    I live nearby!

The food is mediocre. Not bad. Not at all amazing. The real problem with this place is the service. I've called twice trying to get them to deliver to me but they claim that i am too far away. I am minutes from this restaurant. If they would simply take the time to look at a map and deliver my food, I would rate this place a solid 3.5 but alas, after being hung up on while trying to explain where I live, I give this place a solid BOO!

    Where's the beef?

Ordered a spicy rice with beef- and seriously the beef pieces were so small and didn't looked like they were cooked right. more like boiled or something. They weren't that nice brown color, more like that weird brown color-- of what I can see, there were like 4 pieces.

    I'm disappointed

I was so excited to find out that a new Thai restaurant was opening up in my neighborhood, which means I don't have to walk to Cheers on Lorimer for Thai food anymore. But Pagoda really disappoints me. The food was nothing to rave about, the staff were not friendly, no service .. 3 times I was there hoping the 3rd was a charm but it didn't happen. So I went back to my sweet old Cheers!! Better food & better friendlier service. It's worth the walk from Graham ave to Lorimer plus I get to burn some calories too. So, no Cheers for pagoda.

    Perfectly decent thai food

I eat here pretty regularly and have no complaints. It's no better or worse than most of the thai places i've eaten at, and most of the thai places i've eaten at are pretty good.

    Best Thai in the neighborhood!

Food is great, plus the back patio is very nice and spacious! My favorite dish is their steamed veggie dumplings. I know that this sounds like a simple standard appetizer available at every Thai restaurant in the world, but at Pagoda they are shaped into a cute little swirl.
