This Northern Italian steakhouse definitely has one of the most varied menus of any NYC steakhouse. There is definitely something on the menu for everyone, especially for those who do not really go for the meat. The service was great, especially in the face of two ordering mix ups for one of the people in my party. These two mix ups were fixed promptly and at no extra charge. As for me I had my usual steakhouse fare in the form of a Piemontese Porterhouse for two just for myself. The imported Piedmont beef was very tender and had very subtle taste to it, truly as great legacy of the beef brought down long ago by the Germanic tribes when they settled Northern Italy after the fall of Rome. Sometimes I feel some NYC steakhouses come in under 40oz on their porterhouse, but this establishment certainly did not skimp. The steak was also cooked perfectly to order. As far as sides go I got a taste of the Lyonnaise potatoes, broccoli rabe, and asparagus. These sides tasted great and the two other people accompanying me also greatly enjoyed their meals. Everything went great, but I think an increase in the variety of sides featured on the menu, as well as an increase in the portion size for the sides would put Padre Figlios more on par with the many other NYC steakhouses. A printed dessert menu would also be very helpful. I would definitely make a return trip to give one of their more exotic meat offerings a try.

Really enjoy the food and variety. Service was very friendly and really took the time to go over the menu and their recommedations were right on the money. I will surely be telling all my friends about this wonderful place.
