I had read about this restaurant that had only been opened a few months. My wife and I thought we would try it and glad we did. Ordered a nice bottle of Italian wine that was rated high and was at a good price. They brought us the Cold Antipasto Napoletano plate on the house. The owner said a great bottle of wine deserved such an appetizer. It was really good and appreciated. Wife had the linguine with white clam sauce. She gets this dish in Memphis and it is one of her favorite things to order. She said it was really good. I had the filet and it was good but more than I could eat. I hope this place succeeds because it is a find.

Well we entered to a nice greeting and we sat in the tuscan garden room which was lovely. A young man approached us and politely asked if we cared for something to drink and offered the wine list also. We took a look at the wine list and it was impressive. The young man helped me pick out a wine he said was "great and a great price" it was a 2001 Chianti Classico Riserva. The wine was excellent. He mentioned a couple of specials to us and they all sounded lovely but i was there for one reason, to try the Piemontese meat they have. My wife had the Caprese salad to start and i had the minestrone soup. The service was always right there they knew when you needed something and they never smoothered you with to much service. Out came the Fiorentina i ordered and it was cooked perfect. my wife had the branzino with dill sauce. she said it was so tender and full of flavor. we shared an order of saute spinach which was also great. The young man came over and recited the dessert menu which had homemade Gelato's,Affogato, Tiriami su, Panna Cotta, just to name a few. At this point i told the young man to get me the most popular dessert for me, for my wife she had the Panna Cotta. He brought me the affogato which i must admit i do not like expresso but the combination of the cassata gelato and expresso went perfect. The young man toppped off the night with homemade zeppoles that were on him. I couldn't have asked for better service and food. The check was right around the same price for any other Steakhouse in the city. We will visit there more often.

Don't let this 2nd Ave location fool you. This savory spot is not only the best in the neighborhood, it is the best in NYC! The menu is outstanding with something for everyone. The service is phenomenal and the food is the absolute best. I have been 6 times and it is my "go-to" restaurant each week. You have to try it!

Looking for a special night out, my boyfriend found this quaint little spot in Midtown. While not inexpensive, we savored every bite and found the quality and presentation excellent. The good-sized portion appetizer crab cake was 95%+ lump crab...the other subtle flavors let the crab stand on its own assured legs. A delightful caesar salad with a zesty anchovy-based dressing (again, a hefty portion with healthy lettuce). The grilled salmon was at least 10 oz. and moist and tender complete with fresh lemon, paired perfectly with some potatoes and a carrot salad side. My boyfriend got the mixed grill (rack of lamb, italian sausage and filet mingon) each of which was sizable and among the best meats my meat-loving, discriminating boyfriend says he's ever had. (Considering he had three other meats that day, I take him at his word!) Though so happy with my fish, I must say his sausage (link-style) was outta this world. Next time we go, we're getting at least one pasta dish, though! On our Saturday night there were only a few other occupied tables, but the staff was so eager to please. The warm atmosphere and oh-so-amazing food was beyond our expectations. I certainly hope this restaurant gets a strong following, as we're hoping to make our visits there regular. Oh, and when they were out of the bottle of wine I ordered, they brought a much pricier one, though similar, and charged us for the cheaper bottle. All in all....outstanding.

I felt that the food here was ok. I suppose it had to do with the high expectations I had for the meal. I was simply not impressed. For the prices charged at this restaurant, I cannot tolerate mediocrity in taste, so I will not be returning to Padre Figlio. If you are planning to dine at Padre Figlio, don't go in with high expectations for quality of food and be prepared to shell out some serious cash.

I have been to Padre Figlio several times and the each time it is better and better. The calamari is extremely tender, pastas are great and their specialty, the italian meats are amazing as well. They do half orders of pastas so usually get the linguini with clams and lobster agnolotti, both great. I have also tried the Veal Chop (great portion and really flavorful). The service here is great as well, very attentive without being overbearing or pretentious. All in all a great addition to midtown east.

This restaurant reminds me of Bussola and Syracusa. For anybody who enjoys fresh food cooked well and a good wine list , this place is a must. Every dish I have had there since I started goingat least 2-3 times a week, have been superb. It is more than just steak and has plenty to offer anybody with any particular dietary requirements. Fish, Steak, Fowl, game, great pastas, salads and soups. Antonio is a great host as is Enzo. The atmosphere is welcoming and the wait staff well managed by the hosts. And don't forget the Gelato!!!!
