    Adios Padre

My recent 2nd visit was disappointing. Slow service from the waiter, filet of sole not fresh, sub par chocolate marscapone dessert. Also rather an outdated dark look in an out of the way location. Not worth another trip when there are many nicer restaurants around for the money in terms of both food as well as atmosphere

    Better than the reviews

Friends of ours made a reservation at Padre Figlio.I had trepidations based on reviews I had read on Menupages.com.I usually trust the reviews I find here. This time though our experience was different than the majority of the reviews. The food was terrific, the service was very attentive and while pricey we were not disappointed with the value received.I would recommend Padre Figlio to friends. We were all very satisfied with our dinner and I know that my wife and I will be back again.

Cute atmosphere, good service, but not great food & is pricey for the quantity

Spaghetti & clams was very average & the lobster ravioli didn't taste fresh. the caesar salad was ok...the atmosphere is cozy & romantic though, and the service was good. quite pricey for the quantity you get.

    Great neighborhood find!

Went there for dinner last Friday night for the first time. Excellent value on their prix fixe dinner. Extensive regular menu. The three of us enjoyed the food. Good service and not pushy. It was latin night and the music was delightful! Not too loud.

    Not recommended

I just got back from a lunch date with a good friend. It was my first and last visit to this restaurant. What a disappointment! Despite the nice atmosphere and good service the food was not good. My ceasar salad was composed mainly of brown tinged lettuce, covered with a decent dressing. The chicken scarpetta, which the waiter said was his favorite dish consisted of 3 lumpy chicken pieces of rubbery texture, cold string beans and overdone potatoes. The panna cotta was totally tasteless. I complained to the waiter about the salad and was offered a free glass of wine. I left most of the food on the plate.

    Very good but not great

My friend and I dined at Padre Figlio recently. The staff was very nice and the service prompt. I had a seafood salad which was excellent and the bass for dinner, also very good. I really enjoyed the meal. Unfortunately my friend did not have the same opinion. She did not like the crab cake (neither did I) and she was not overly delighted with the pasta and lobster. I did like the restaurant but I spent twice as much as I normally would at another restauant of the same calibre.

    Very Dependable-Top Flight

We went there when they participated in voucher program. The steak was as good as any Steak House and the seafood was fresh and prepared perfectly. All the fresh pasta we had can't be beat, but stick with the half portion unless you want it as the main course. A bit pricey but well worth it , escpecially knowing you wont be RUSHED.
