Went to Pacificana last night with friends from Boston. Perfection. Presided over by Jimmy Ching and his very well trained staff. Dim Sum - the best in NYC (along w Dim Sum Go Go). Har Gow, Shui Mai, Soup Dumplings to make you cry, ribs. Entrees: Clams in Black Bean Sauce, Lettuce Package of Squab, Beef Chow Fun, Singapore Chow Mai Fun, Fried Rice with Chinese Broccoli, Bacon and Sausage. $45 a head with tip and tax. Can't beat it - and they validate parking! It is really the best food, service and value you can experience. AMITIES Gourmandes, ally's dad

Try to get in your head a huge space that can serve 400 - 500 where people are bussed in on the weekend for dim sum. Now try to understand that despite the size and the crowds - less so during the week - the food is simply the best Chinese food served in NYC. Spare ribs - perfect. Soup dumplings and other dim sum to die for. Squab in lettuce packages; pan fried flounder with scallions and ginger; clams and black bean sauce; chow fun that makes you weep - the list goes on and on. Jimmy Ching and his staff - especially our server Janet understand service that could translate to Per Se. Get in the car, take a subway and make the trek to Sunset park in Brooklyn. You will cheer! This place is soooo over crowded over the weekend but later in the evening is reasonable (hint). Finding parking during the day was horrible, but not too bad in the evening (hint). The restaurant is clean and have good service and the food is tasty. Unlike other restaurant where the patron have not yet finish eating and the bill is already to be collected. The evening we were there the restaurant waited for us to finished the meal before giving us the bill.

Pacficana may possibly be the best Dim Sum in New York City. I have been to places all over New York, including Chinatown and Flushing. But, this is hands down the best Dim Sum I have ever had. I have been here several times and I have never been disappointed. I recommend to all!
