A great escape
If you are looking for a relaxed small intimate and cheap dinner- definitely come to Ozu. The food is very good, unique and all natural- which makes it that much better. Don't come if you are not willing to try new and interesting dishes.- but if you are willing- ozu is the place to eat! We highly recommend it. Misc: the service was quick when we were there- and it was pretty crowded; the chairs do have a low back- but they are still comfortable and call before you come since you can't make reservation.

Great food if you can get it
The food is always amazing but the service leaves something to be desired. The food is very filling and always worth the price, but even when their restaurant is empty, it takes them a while to bring the food out. When the place is full, it can be a pretty long wait. It is also hard to get a waiter to notice you. They never look around the whole room before going back to see if someone is waving. All in all, if you have some time and are patient, it's a great place to go.

Amazing!
As a vegan, this place is heaven! I always leave with a full stomach. From the ozu rolls to the salad dressing the food is always amazing. Especially the tea that comes with your meal. The only con about dining here is that the seating is very crammed, due to the lack of space.

Delicious!
Although the food is great, the low-back chairs are so uncomfortable my friends and I sometimes choose to go elsewhere.

A Real Jewel
Although I haven't been here in a month (I sucessfully eaten practically all the vegetarian dishes on the menu, like 10 times each!) I really want to encourage people to dine here. The food is always fresh and prepared with care, service is prompt and sweet, and the prices, compared to other macrobiotic and vegetarian restaurants, are really good. When I miss my mom's home cooking, this really hits the spot; a lot, and I mean A LOT, of so called 'Japanese' restaurants in the city are not authentic, but this one passes the test with flying colors. When my mom came to visit me, I took here here and even she approved! She liked the place so much she chatted with the owner in Japanese the entire time swapping recipes!!! However, the decor is really understated and tables are limited so it's not the most ideal place to take a group of friends- better to do takeout in that case.
