Ozu

It's a great restaurant, atmosphere is nice. Great Japanese food, I had there soba noodles with seaweed, bean sprouts and it was amazing, their sushi is huge, and the meal was totally worth the money paid. One thing that was wrong, the waiters shouldn't hover.

I used to love Ozu but the quality of the cooking has gone down, while the prices have gone up. Today I ordered the kale hijiki salad with carrot Ginger dressing. Turns out it had raw onions in it, which I can't digest. They wouldn't let me exchange the dish without an additional charge - for a dish that already cost $24. They suggested I pick around the dressing. The rest of the meal was just so so. My husband had a noodle dish he said he would never order again. He won't have to because we'll never be back. Too bad. Ozu used to be a really sweet place.

Lentil soup was all I ordered. It was very good. I asked for a glass of cabernet. I actually took a cell phone photo of it. It was $7.50 and only 1/4 full. It was all I needed because I don't drink more than a glass. but I was shocked that it was about four sips of wine in the glass. I would never go back and never recommend this place.

Very nice food cozy atmosphere love it

Seems like the reviews here are all outdated. Ozu has been redecorated...added a liquor license...expanded the menu and added additional servers. Even the process for ordering takeout has been computerized now so it's fast. The servers are sweet and caring and the food is fresh, unique, healthy and reaaaallllllly delicious. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming - you can sit and read a book and enjoy a bowl of terrific soup (the pea soup and the carrot soup are particularly good) followed by - my favorite - a carrot pancake or Special Greens (tofu and kale mix; satisfying and healthy). These guys really care about what they do and they do it really well.

I like the salmon dishes. Try the miso sauce. Good stuff.
