    Not good at Delivering Food

I love this place, in fact I order from them all the time. The problem is that in recent weeks every single delivery that I have recieved has been wrong. Either the chopsticks are missing, the soy sauce is missing or the miso soup is missing. You would think that given the fact that I order all the time and am a great customer they would be more careful and take better care of me. Because of their constant mistakes I am now ordering sushi in from an entierly different restaurant. They just lost one of their best customers!!

    Try it for a party!

I recently hosted a birthday dinner with about 12 people. They were very attentive to our table. They threw in 2 orders of edamame for the group as we waited for our appetizers. And when it came to dessert they threw in 3 desserts for the table (the fried banana with ice scream scoops) for no charge. Everyone was very impressed with the restaurant and the food, especially the value! The total bill (including appetizers for most and an alcoholic drink per person) was not even over $250! This definitely makes everyone happy when they are splitting the bill. I don't think I've ever seen the restaurant packed, so it worked for our party to get the attention we needed. I would definitely tell someone else to try it out there. The menu is diverse enough for everyone to find something. Enjoy!

    good chinese delivery

I only ordered from the Chinese food section of the menu, so cannot comment on the other categories. The delivery was quick & the food was quite good. The chicken actually looked like and tasted like chicken, something I cannot always say about the chicken from ollies and pearls. Will order from here again.

Forget fusion - let's do fission

Ozen has the problem of too many "fusion" restaurants. If the owners are, for example, Chinese, they think they can copy the menu from a Thai place and do Thai. They can't unless they are well trained in Thai food. I've had similar experiences in other "fusion" restaurants. Unless it's really a gourmet operation that studies the multiple cuisines, restaurants should perfect one cuisine and not glop on another cuisine's sauce and claim to serve food of that cuisine. The staff is friendly, the decor comfortable. And, thank goodness, they don't play techno music that can give you ulcers when you eat.

    Never a disappointment

Ozen is always good at getting your order delivered fast and correct. The lunch special can't be beat for all the food you get and the cheap price, and it's one of the few fusion places that do not only chinese well, but also pretty decent japanese and thai.

Wonderful sushi, crabs in season amazing

I have eaten in and ordered out many times and have never been disappointed. Sushi is some of the best in the neighborhood, sauteed crabs fabulous. Other dishes have always pleased. Service has always been courteous.

    A Little Worse than Mediocre

I'm eating the food at home right now. Delivery was prompt, and as usual with Asian restaurants on the UWS, the portions are titanic. Huge. Bigger than that. But the taste is actually pretty poor, making the portions kind of irrelevant... The chow fun actually tastes like the wok it was cooked in (mmm! metal!), the beef and peanuts is (too) salty, the wonton soup is only ok. The rice is really dry, too but what do Asians know about rice? You can't have it all...
