I grew up in the neighborhood & we definitely needed a burger joint. They have the most amazing and tasty burgers I have ever eaten. I have tried about 80% of the other items as well as the chefs specials and don't have a bad word to say about the place.....well done

I go here at least once a week. Have not found a single place on Cortelyou that can beat it. Period. @Well-done burger: Complaining about having to send a burger back because it isnt well done enough is a reflection of your poor taste in food. Complaining that there is smoke is just petty... Its a gastro-pub, meaning classy bar food, meaning in simpler terms, burgers. Cooking meat on a grill = smoke. For the rest of you hungry searchers- go yourself and try it. Let the food and ambiance speak for itself...

My wife doesn't eat fries and gobbled them up here. We foolishly did NOT order burgers. The other dishes are OK, avoid the crab cakes. The other patrons were licking their fingers over the burgers. The service was nice, helpful. People who eat burgers, or any meat, well-done are abominations!

I thought this was going to be my new favorite place since i live in the neighborhood...Guess again! the prices are way overpriced! I visited this place on 3 occasions and everytime i order a burger i have to keep sending it back because they are never well done in the middle of the pattie. the place smellsand even when you leave you go home smelling like the place... they seem to have a poor ventilation system because at times you can see the smoke from the kitchen lingering in air of the dining area. you can walk right into the kitchen when going to the restroom.. back to the food i have tried a pretty good percentage of the things they have on the menu and nothing really comes across as worth it. nothing special about this place. i rather walk a few blocks to Cortelyou rd. you would enjoy your night out there. Oh another thing that was very distasteful is that the owner stands in the kitchen and stares at all of the dining guests with this very un warm look in his face...its funny because he actually looks upset if more customers come in..but like i said make this place a last resort... Cortelyou or park slope is my best bet...

I love this local eatery more each time I go. Whether it's in the afternoon or evening, the atmosphere has been good, food great (take home the pie if you don't have room) and the service always "spot on". They serve the best root beer I've ever had and can't begin to rave enough about the burgers!

The door from the kitchen to the street is open, and the staff go outside to smoke. The smoke then wafts in through the open kitchen door, to permeate the restaurant. Also, customers sit outside on the benches provided, and smoke. The smoke pours into the restaurant through the open windows and the door, when it is opened. They have lost me as a customer due to the unwelcome cigarette smoke.

Don't call for takeout on a weekend. Called, was put on"hold" while hearing background noise for ten minutes. Hung up, called back and phone line remained busy for another 15-20min. Won't be back. Need more restaurants in Ditmas Park
