Best Pizza
I probably never thought that I could find Italian, actually Neapolitan as the manager described it to me, Pizza in NY. All i have to say is that Ovest was the Best Pizza I ever had. I got a LG Martha (apparently named after "THE" Martha Stewart) and my friend got a Diavola pie (spicy salame) the crust was crispy and yet not too much, thin and tasty... simply delicious! we shared a spinach salad and rice balls and they were also good. Service was fast and very friendly, wine was amazing, I has a Supertuscan by the glass (part of the fancy Enoteca list) and my friend got a special drink for $8 part of the Aperitivo ( complimentary food at the bar from 5-8 every day, and special drinks. Very happy Overall, I'll definitely be back. Just a real Italian experience.

Customer service
I called to order lunch over the phone, i ordered a panini with cheese, mushrooms and arugula. i was told that i had an old menu but it was okay they would send the sandwich. When the sandwich arrived there was prosciutto all over it. I called back and explained there must be a mistake because i did not order this and that i don't eat meat and i offered to walk the sandwich back over to the restaurant to replace it for the right one. I was told by the same woman who took my order that it was my fault that i had a wrong menu and that i could order and pay for a new meal if i wanted something different. I explained that i don't eat meat and this was not in the description of the sandwich i ordered and basically she said she didn't care and that if i wanted something else, i could pay for it. I guess i won't be eating my $14 lunch today thanks to the rude lady at Ovest Pizzoteca!!

Need to work out the kinks!
Loved the previous restaurant, Naima, so we thought we'd give this new space a try. Nice atmosphere, decent prices, good food, but they seriously need to work out the kinks. My lunch was brought to the table a good ten minutes before my companions. We both sat there until my pizza was cold anticipating his before finally sharing mine. His arrived AFTER we had already finished my lunch. It is NOT ok to bring dishes that far apart. Hope the service improves or I will not be back.

Great food, but need to work out the kinks in service
We sat at the bar, so the bartender may not have been versed in the menu. He came back 3 or 4 times to ask us to repeat our order. We ordered the rice balls, an order of bruschetta, and a pizza. The bruschetta menu said to pick three kinds, so we did, and there were two sizes to the pizza, so we ordered the smaller one. Everything came out at once, which was disappointing, but when the bruschetta came out, instead of giving us three pieces, each a different kind, he had put in three plates of the same kind! Then our pizza looked large to us, and when the bill came it turned out that they don't serve the smaller pizza for dinner so he upgraded us to the large without informing us. He had also not informed me that there were two kinds of montepulciano red wine and he had (of course) poured me the more expensive one. The manager had heard us asking and came over to adjust the bill, which was very very nice, but having to spend so much energy going back and forth with someone to get our order correct was frustrating (which was too bad because the bartender seemed like a nice person). The rice balls and pizza were excellent. Some of the best pizza in town! The bruschetta bread was too dense to toast well and I wouldn't recommend that, but the wines were really nice. Maybe when they've been open longer the service will be more seasoned. At least the pizza can hit the ground running!
