    Mexican Breakfast?

I just had what was possibly the worst Huevos Rancheros, ever. The salsa was cold, the beans were cold and hard and the eggs were served over corn tortilla chips. I am so confused. What could the person in the kitchen possibly have been thinking. It's not even ten am and I was expected to eat a poor man's version of Doritos for breakfast. I left angry and still hungry. I won't be visiting OOTK ever again.

Good food, let down by service

Went for brunch this weekend and they seemed new to the business. Our orders came out half done, and then we had to wait over 20 minutes for the rest to come out. The parts that never came out (berries for example) that they said they'd not charge us for still appeared on the bill. The atmosphere was nice, their outdoor spot has good people-watching, but the food mistakes were a let down.

    Used to be better

Since OOTK moved, something, is not the same. The new place is nice but a little more "sterile" not as homey. The food seems different too, like they are trying to replicate the same food with other people cooking it. Loved the old place, not completley sold on the new one. Even the people working there do not seem happy. The person who i think is the owner could be alot friendlier.

    Huevos

I LOVE the Huevos Rancheros at Out of the Kitchen. My boy friend and I get them every Saturday morning along with a black and white cookie and a cupckake. My biggest complaint would be that it isn't open on Sunday and not early enough during the week to be able to get them before work!

born in raised in the tri-state

ive been in nyc for 13 years, the neighborhood for 12 years, and going to OOTK for 10 years. all of their desserts are delish, expecially the cupcakes (way better than the overated magnolia!), lemonbars, tiramisu, & cookies. their sandwiches are yummy too, my fave is the avacodo & muester with sprouts. they have the best homemade lemonade, nice and tart! however, i do admit that the cooked food can be bland.

    Ugh

I have to say, used to go to this place a lot, the food is pretty bland but above all the service is subpar. They only cater to the local yocals that come in and chit chat for 30 minutes. not going back anymore. much better eating options have popped up recently.

Have to back up the unfriendly call

I was just in there and while the food I bought was good, I have to say that the guy was pretty rude. Off-puttingly so. This is not the first time I have experienced this. I'll question going back.
