Subpar Dining Experience! Rude Waiter
Let me preface this by saying that I am as low maintenance a customer as they come. I have much sympathy for wait staff and rude obnoxious customers. I try to be as nice as possible to my server and have never complained about poor service. A female friend and I walked in today at 2:57. We had seen the menu outside.with lunch specials until 3. The waiter gave us a dim sum menu instead and said the outside, cheaper menu was invalid (bait and switch anyone?). Fine, I asked to order the lunch special and the waiter said it was past 3:00. I told him it was exactly 3:00, not exactly pressing the issue. He leaves in a huff, comes back and says ok. I asked for chicken with cashews with soup and roll and an extra dim sum dish of spring rolls. He goes to the kitchen and returns 10 minutes later. My friend orders a soup and the waiter sneers and says that she should just take my soup (to imply that I'm cheap). I do my best to ignore it and we order dim sum. He tells us that dim sum is not being served after 3, never mind that he gave us the dim sum menu at 3. 10 minutes later, the lady next to my table orders dim sum and he writes it down. Unfreakingbelievable. He then proceeds to ignore my table for the next 30 minutes. So the two of us are stuck there eating one lunch special with an extra spring roll (picture showed 2, they gave us 1). Note that there were THREE tables occupied in the restaurant (out of 20) at this time and he was waiting on TWO of them. The other waiter was far more polite (at least not outright offensive). I will NEVER go within 2 blocks of this restaurant again. The guy obviously had an attitude problem. I've never NOT TIPPED in protest but this time I wanted to a scene about his rudeness. I bit my tongue, dropped $2 on the table for our $12.70 bill and walked out. The food was slightly above average and my friends order here all the time. But there is not way they will see a single penny from me again. We shouldn't feel obligated to tip tipping used to be for good service. Heck, I'll settle for basic.

Declining Food Quality
We used to order from here all the time and the delivery was very good. Recently, the food has repeatedly arrived luke warm and does not look fresh. The people have also become quite rude. When I called to complain last time they argued with me for 10 minutes before grudgingly agreeing to send a fresh portion which was much better. Take-out was no better.

what's happened to this place
I used to love this place but in the past 6 months the prices have gone up quite drastically and the food quality and delivery service have declined. I used to always order from here but I am going to stop.

Your Place
You can have it! We've been eating here for years and the last 3 times have been awful. We'll find another place. The food is tasteless and not fresh. Both the delivery men and the waiters in the restaurant are extremely rude. I don't know what happened to this place, but I'm disappointed at the steep decline in food and service.

It's Mostly Decor!
Nice place to be in, even if it does "need a facelift," but I am totally unimpressed with this restaurant. The food is okay, not great, despite my friend's raving about this restaurant. It's fresh, which is better than most other local Chinese places', and they use better mushrooms, but their sauce is very bland. No great shakes. Better, homemade dumplings, nice little plastic microwaveable containers, but still not as good as the all-vegetarian restaurant (Gobo) next door. I'd rather pay a couple dollars extra and get tastier dishes that I know are all veggie. This place--yours, not ours, from the non-cadaver-eating crowd--is not that veggie friendly, though a little more civil with the service than many of their Chinese-restaurant competitors.

Needs a face lift
Had dinner there last night. Appetiser (scallion pancake) was mediocre, obviously re-heated, and tough. Main courses (shared) of lobster/scallops and mixed vegetables with fried tofu were excellent, very tasty. Service overall solicitous and professional. But the place is in serious need of a total make over. I'll definitely order delivery, though, because the food is delicious. I wouldn't advise going there, though, only delivery.

Great Chinese!
Gourmet Chinese...the best wonton soup! They have great service too...if you order a lot of food to share, they split up the food for you on your plates. We were very happy here.
