I love Ottoman's Cafe! Order the kofte kebabs and they are grilled to order, very juicy and tasty. Kazandibi also a fantastic dessert treat, just like in Turkey. The one thing that's really unique about this place is the hot sauce--it's a wonderful mix of spices soaked in oil that puts the standard hot sauce of white sauce hot sauce to shame, somewhat similar to harissa. This place is also open really late when your other options are 99cent fresh pizza...which incidentally I also love. But this is so much better. Also looking forward to checking out the rear garden in the summer.

I dont care what anyone is saying this is by far the best Iskender that I have tried since my trip to Turkey. The dish was prepared excellent.

ok so this place has been around for 2 months and i have tried to give it time to grow but after my 10th visit its time to spill the beans. I love falafel i would eat it for breakfast if i could and its the main reason i keep coming back so the good is very good falafel wraps, salad and sandwich. the back is pleasant but that's about it, people smoking while im trying to eat i smoke also but not while im eating ! Now the bad, where to start ? The service might be the worse, i have stand around for my food and after im done instead of someone coming to take my food away i have to bus my own table, although i must admit when a cute very nice girl is working she does it all but after that there really lacking there. Its either way to hot or the AC is blowing in my face ! The food has been good but i think they should expand the menu some, they also offer fresh squeezed juices and at first some guy had me hooked with some interesting combination's, have not seen him anymore and no one else seems to capture the same effect. The staff and owners are nice but no one seems very interested in you once you have finished ordering, very business like, just finished my 10th visit and not one person has asked me my name or how was your day ETC. So if you want a quick falafel and soda the value is good, but if your looking to be catered too like me, and eat something other then Falafel's i would skip this place..I don't understand that space must be cursed it has been 3-5 different business in the past 4 years !

I've been to this place twice now since it's opened and it's by far one of the best new, easily accessible place to get doner, as well as other delights. The space is bigger than it looks, though it is strangely positioned right next to the exit of the W. 4th station. The menu is much more extensive than you may think and they also serve a variety of fresh blended juices (though I haven't tried it yet). One of the pleasant surprises is the really good custard (kazandibi) that they have. I don't even like custards, but I ordered it on a whim and it was so good. Definitely give this place a try! It's a really good and cute little place and I'd hate to see them fail because they weren't given a chance!
