I gave this place a try after reading some of the reviews. The 3 cheese steak burger was awesome. Fries were a bit soggy by the time they were delivered but all in all, for the price, it was fantastic.

So some friends were visiting N.Y. from the West Coast and we went to Ottomanelli for dinner. I told them about the large portions and that we always split an entree and salad. So we all has the steak special and a salad. We split two orders of each for the four of us. My friend couldn't believe these were half portions. The steak was unbelievable and the salad was too. Now the kicker. They have sangria. We ordered a pitcher and it was great. The bill finally came and it totalled $60.00. We split that in half. My friends flipped out as their breakfast at their hotel that morning was more expensive.

What a great find--truly an Upper East Side hidden gem. Cozy atmosphere and fantastic food. The penne quattro formaggio was absolutely declicious and a superb value for the huge portion. It tasted just as delicious reheated the next night for dinner. My friends were equally pleased with their dishes--grilled chicken with vegetables and chicken francese. Can't wait to go back and try their steak burgers!

I went to Ottomanelli based on the reviews on this web site. Well, they are right. I ordered a burger and salad. The salad cost $5.00 and was about 3x what one normally gets in Manhattan. I was shocked. And it was good, greens, tomatoes, etc were fresh. Then I came the cheeseburger and fries. The burger was excellent. It looked great on the plate, was perfectly cooked (as I ordered it) and tasted fantastic. The fries were a tad greasy but that's a middling point. The price is amazing for Manhattan. In fact I literally thought they undercharged me. The burger and fries are just $7.00. Incredible at a place with a candles on the tables and a good wait staff.

We are new to NY and I took my wife there for the first time last week. Looking at the large portions of food being served, we ordered the NY steak & chopped salad and shared it. We were hungary, and it was a perfect amount of food for two. Also, the house red wine was very nice. The quality of food was excellent, and so was the service. It's a small resteraunt and even though we somehow fit into the last table available, it was fine. A great meal at a great price. I did have a chance to try a grilled chicken sandwich the other day, and think next time I'll go with a burger. This has to end up being one of my favorite resteraunts.

I first came here for St. Patty's Day. My buds and I wanted a place to eat steak before we went bar-hopping. It's a small place but very cozy and definitely a nice date-spot for future reference. I had the Prime N.Y. Sirloin and it was great. Their own steak sauce was awesome too. The service was good as the waitresses were nice. We came in when the place was packed and they tried their best to seat us and even tried shifting tables for us. Last night, I met up with my friends and I had them try this place (after walking 20+ blocks to build appetite. LOL). This time I had the Dr. Eric's hanger steak. It was a hefty portion of meat. I enjoyed the meal but I think the sirloin steak was better. I still haven't tried the steak burgers or pasta/italian dishes so it's a good excuse to go back.

I've tried so many delivery burgers on the UES (can't even count anymore), and this is the absolute best. Also, the wafer fries are UNBELIEVABLE (much much better than Blondie's).
