Given up hope
I gave this place a 1 for atmosphere because it at least is indoors when it's raining. There is no atmosphere in this very cold square room. Food is inconsistent and service a little weird. Do Not order out. The quality of the delivered food is all over the place.

Great lunch special
Ott has a great lunch special -- $6.95 for an entree w/soup or salad. I chose the salad, which was generous, covered with bean sprouts, shredded carrots, a few pieces of fried tofu and lots of tasty peanut dressing. The chicken in red curry was wonderful...it had a lot of sauce, which is key, and was quite spicy but not overwhelming. I was also happy to see the addition of eggplant in the dish, since some places only give you eggplant w/green curry. My husband loved the pad thai. A good value for tasty Thai food.

Best in the hood
Freshest ingredients, quickest turnaround, best owners/staff in Greenpoint. Far and away outshines the nearby cafes, on par with local favorites.

It's just not good...
As far as takeout goes, the food is totally inconsistent. One day something can be okay - the next, same dish is totally flavorless. They need to do a better job. Portions are very small - the other reviewer was right on target. And you do have to pay extra for most items - even rice. Too bad the owner who is there all the time cant figure it out to make the place better, otherwise it would be a gem.

Best thai food in Greenpoint
Which is saying a lot, considering how many Thai places can be found in this neighborhood. Fresh, delicious, fast, and incredibly friendly.

Great! Don't Hate!
This place has fantastic Thai food. Awesome curries, authentically spicy dishes, and appropriate portions (hard to find in this country!). I've had nothing but success with delivery, which came - complete and correct - in twenty minutes after saying they'd be there in twenty minutes. I'm always surprised that it's not more crowded because this place is really a gem amongst the homogenized Thai/Chinese/Indian/Anything food you find outside ethnic enclaves in New York.

Love
I love this place. It is another example of the Thai in Greenpoint being way better than any Thai I have had in Manhattan. Then again, I've never been to a super-expensive Thai place in Manhattan, but why should I when this place is cheap & uses such fresh ingredients that it's downright inspirational?
