    Good Food, BAD service

Went here for a business lunch, the place is nice but way too loud, acoustics are terrible. The food was good, nothing to complain about. The service was HORRIBLE. I think the waitress took a zanax b/c she was totally spaced out and she got several of the specials wrong. Never came back to check on our table. We had to flag her down to order somethig to drink, she was standing against the wall picking her nails. Then had to track her down again for the check. Guess where she was? Literally standing in the corner picking her nails. I ordered the lasagna for lunch and the server actually tried to had me the extremely hot plate rather than walk around the table to put it in front of me. The service alone is why I will not go back there. Plus, this isn't a huge deal but it was a turn off: The femail waitresses all look like SLOBS.

    Consistently good

I am a hotel concierge in the neighborhood and have send hundreds of guests here with consistently great feedback. Every meal I've eaten here has been really nice, and the atmosphere is lively but still upscale.

    Most improved!!

I had been here a few times in the past just went and it was a whole new deal. The food is much improved some traditional dishes and some interesting new things. Still the best pizza around. The atmoshpere is great and service is friendly a great place to go in Midtown.

    Superb dining experience

Highly recommended. Delicious food, warm, cozy setting. Gorgeous lighting. Definitely a great place for dinner in the fall or winter.

    Not going back

Had a business lunch at Osteria and it was very poor. While the service was good, the kitchen was backed up. We waited an hour and a half for our entrees that war barely sub par. The pasta was too buttery, and very bland. I wouldn't ever go back.

    Ãvoid

I met with two colleagues for a business lunch here last week. Because our time was pressed and the meeting was important, I didn't complain about the lousy food at the time - I decided to leave a review here instead, to warn off others who might be tempted to pay these ridiculous prices for such sub par offerings. The Caesar salad was limp, while the dressing splashed all over it had a vaguely chemical quality. The waitress said she recommended the lasagne; fool that I am, I took her advice. I honestly think I was served up with a microwaved ready meal. The meat looked pale while the pasta and the sauce were completely bland. Avoid - there are too many places in this city ripping off the diner because they know that we come to talk business at lunchtime and therefore are less mindful of the food. Not anymore!

    Okay! But I've had better

This place was okay. There Gnocchi was pretty good, as was their calamari. The grilled seafood platter was not good. The mussels tasted like they came straight out the ocean, the calamari and scallops had no flavor except for burnt grill marks and I still don't know what that thing in the shell was. And they charge and arm and a leg for it. I wouldnt recommend anything but the gnocchi.
