A Gem
Great place a true gem! Great vibe, beautiful decor, comfortable and a warm staff. The pizza is nearly flawless and done perfectly. A true gem!

Great new place on the UWS, finally!
WHAT a difference compared to the old Senor Swanky's. This place is warm, friendly, and welcoming, and the staff are great; very attentive and sweet. Owners are equally attentive and personable. Food mainly consists of little plates (although they have several main dish plates) and is quite good overall. Try the pizzas with their flavorful, fresh ingredients and perfect crust. I've also had the lentils, which are just fine for $4.00; same could be said for the meatballs, but both just fine for a light dinner or snack. The wine list is pretty extensive and the wines reasonably priced. I live in the 'hood and loathe paying $14 for a glass of red, I don't care how good it is. Here, a very decent, full-bodied Malbec is $10, and to me, that's a good and fair deal. Cotta is a much-needed addition to a part of the UWS sorely lacking in wine bars and other good places to hang out with friends in a laid back and comfortably nice atmosphere. The many candles and otherwise astute lighting (yes, lighting) contributes to the vibe, which is definitely a good one. Highly recommended!

Not recommended
was looking forward to trying this new restaurant on the UWS. while the food wasn't bad (sizable charcuterie plate, tasty pizza, but incredibly salty chicken), the service left much to be desired. the restaurant is just too cramped and every server seems rushed. they would do better by removing a few tables.

Great UWS addition
Lovely atmosphere, excellent food and for a brand new restaurant, the service was excellent. Portions are small, but prices are very reasonable. Great addition to the UWS!
