    Theater District Gem, Indeed!

My wife's boss recommended this one to us and we felt somewhat compelled to give it a try. What a great find. Knowing how much her boss loves his food, we should not have doubted him. We decided to skip on the appetizer's but both our fish entrees were expertly prepared and presented. The wait staff is very attentive to the needs of their charges (from our vantage point in the upstairs seating, we could look down into the main dining room) and watching them turn a table over was like watching an artist at work. The wine list is extensive and somewhat expensive for the better quality wines, but I guess no more than usual in NYC. Dessert offerings were a little disappointing but very tasty. All in all, we'll be back for a repeat performance the next time we're in town for the theater.

A little gem in the theater district!

A nice surprise. The food was very good, well presented and the service very attentive. Nice decor and good atmosphere. The crispy shrimp and calamari appetizer was excellent. Would definitely do a return engagement.

Great place in the theatre district

We were pleasantly surprised to find a great alternative to the Carmine's of the world. Great food, good service, and very reasonable.

    Worth A Return Visit

I have now eaten at Osteria twice and will again next time I'm in New York. The food is great-- fresh ingredients and nice presentation. Our waitress was great too. The wine was a little pricey but all in all, I loved it!
