Osaka

This was my second time patronizing Osaka Restaurant on a Friday night and realized the lack of customers once again. The staff sitting at the bar watching the news channel didn't seem to care who entered their establishment. Nonetheless, we were seated and ordered the $20 all you can eat roll and sushi a la carte. As soon as I took my first bite, I remembered why this place wasn't so cracked up to be. The fish was lukewarm which I'm sure it's suppose to be at a much cooler temperature. However, it didn't taste bad nor did it bear a foul odor. I thought it was okay. We ordered a second round which pretty much made our stomachs full. Around that time, the waitress announced the bar was closing and we decided we were done for the night and asked for the check. As soon as the staff heard the word "check" they dispersed to shut down the lights around the entry way, bar, kitchen and back portion of the restaurant. They even had the gates come down while we were still in the restaurant and we didn't even sign the credit card receipt. We received our bill at 11:10pm. The place does not close until 11:30pm. They shut down the house at 11:15pm. And to top it off, they didn't remove our plates, cups, napkins or even cleaned the table we sat at. I could see why there's not a lot of foot traffic. Thanks Osaka for leaving an unpleasant taste in my mouth and an experience with much to be desired!

Upon arriving to Osaka, I was greeted at the door with a warm welcome. I ordered the Dragon Roll, Cucumber Cooked Salmon Rolls and the Alaskan Rolls. I was delighted in the quality of the food and I was surprised when I got my check and realized how low the bill was. They also offer a $20 all you can eat, which I have had on several occasions, being that I live 2 blocks away. I definitely suggest Osaka Sushi to anyone.

After a long day of work I can only turn to one thing, food. I called thinking it was the usual place I go to, and order from, but I was mistaken, worth a shot though. It arrived in a short amount of time, I'd say 30 min. (then again how long can a microwave take to cook some fish). Excited that I finally had food, I dove in. One piece of this rock shrimp tempura made me want to puke. It was soggy, and stretchy. so then I tried the shumai, unappetizing. I didn't even try the roll, it gave off a foul smell. Osaka, you are out of my book.

This is a great restaurant. The prices are great and the sushi is fresh and delicious. Nice atmosphere and service.
