I Give Up!
I'm a sucker for a broiled half chicken NYC diner dinner. Having crossed Sunflower off my list, thought I'd try Orion. Delivery order 'special instructions' said: DO NOT (3x all caps) remove skin. You guessed it! It arrived skinless AND, as an added attraction, it had bee hacked almost through in 5-6 places with a cleaver. I'm guessing it cooks faster that way.

Great neighborhood diner
Never went here when it was Cosmos b/c just looked dirty and unappetizing. After the renovation, decided to try it and was very pleasantly surprised! Have been back almost every weekend for a few months now for breakfast. Service is friendly, food is good diner food, and the place is clean. I give it 4 stars across the board for being a well done diner.

New diner manager
This diner used to be Cosmos - then got a makeover as Orion. It was a welcome change, as the place was completely renovated. Food was okay - service was okay when not too busy. But now they have a new manager who is rude and pompous. Who needs to be treated with distain when you are just going for a quick bite? Better go elsewhere till they change managers.

It's a bit over priced. But the foods not bad.

Not Cosmos quality
Had been a regular Cosmos Diner customer for years. Orion replaced it. Not sure if it's the same owners after the renovation. The burgers are inedible. The Turkey Club was far inferior to the Cosmos sandwich. Hope it gets better but you won't find out through me because I won't be going back.

Some things never change
I have been living in the Kips Bay/Gramercy Park area for over 30 years and was hoping this would be a new and improved diner. To my susprise, it's the same old diner (Cosmos), with a different name. Same poor service, food and value. The only diffence is they have updated the decor. Visited yesterday for the 1st time since it's re-opening and was given a glass of water with lipstick stain on the rim. Needless to say, I was disgusted. We were a party of 3 and all of our water glasses were gritty and stained. I received my food 1st and we had to wait at least 20 additional minutes for a breakfast platter. Sorry but you can make this place look nice but it's still the same old Cosmos. Will not be returning.
