Just like in Italy!
We stumbled upon this little GEM by accident a few nights ago. We had a wonderful experience there, from start to finish! The bruschetta was some of the best in New York City. Everything we tasted was simply out of this world! The wait staff and owner were SO friendly, we felt right at home. I can't believe we haven't tried this place sooner. The food is seriously- just like in Italy!!!! I would highly recommend it to anyone. We can't wait to take our friends there.

My new favorite Italian restaurant.
I highly recommend you check out Organika. The food is excellent, fresh, and delicious. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable and the ambiance is homey. Everyone in the kitchen was speaking Italian. I'm pretty picky about eating Italian food out at restaurants, but Organika has it together. And Southern Italian is especially difficult to find done well. They understand what good Italian food is--and not to mention that they take special care to supply their kitchen with seasonal and local produce and products whenever possible; and when it's not, it's from Italy. I'm excited to have a new favorite in the West Village! Looking forward to my next visit.

Great Food, Ideal Location
Absolutely LOVED the carpaccio & the salads. All the food is local/organic. The beef in the carpaccio dish is artisinal and some of the best I've ever had! The veggie lasagna and faro pastas were also really good. Would happily return.

They don't care at all
It took them a long time to get to us. When we finally ordered some coffee and appetizers while we were waiting for a friend, it took them not only 30 minutes to bring them, but we had to go fetch the sullen waitress a few times. She said "I'm sorry, but it's not my fault." She also repeated this phrase during the meal and at the end. We got the owner and told him we'd been waiting. He walked off and we though we were finally going to get good service, but it did nothing. The coffee arrived cold. The classic bruschetta was ok. Nobody bussed the table unless we asked them to. Nobody offered pepper unless we asked for it. The pizzas finally came and they were mediocre, especially compared to some of the superb pizzas in the neighborhood. The capper came, though, when I bit into what I thought was a pebble, but was a tiny piece of metal in the pizza. We got the waitress, who said she would tell the owner, but did not. We finally got the owner to come over. He denied it was metal, saying it was an herb, then he rolled in between his thumb and finger and hurt himself on it. Then he said "How could anything get into the food? Impossible." Then he walked off. It was a horrible, expensive experience and it's a shame that it had to be on my birthday. We were prepared to give them the full benefit of the doubt, even after the bad initial service, but the food and the alien matter in the food were the capper. NEVER AGAIN.
