Poor
first they said: we ran out of sparkling which already was annoying but I ordered then bottled water-well I got charged 14 $ for 2 tiny bottles of water! Then we ordered 2 seperate checks to find out that both amounts were added up wrong-thank God we noticed it. The pizza Margerite was very small and cost 15$ by the way. Never go there again.

How could this food be considered good?
How can these reviews be so great and the food be so not great?? I don't know maybe it was a REALl.Y off night?? First time here and the food was pretty poor. All I eat is organic. Maybe this was but it must've been all frozen. The bread was tasteless except for that plastic flavor you get from freezing bread too long in plastic. The pizza soggy as hell. The oil for the bread tasted like a dirty wet dish sponge. The artichokes on the bruschetta were definitely canned and the bread burnt. The shredded iceberg that my friends tastless and slightly burnt breaded chicken was on was definitely not fresh or organic. And although the red sauce on the gnocchi was sorta tasty the gnocchi itself was tastless and likely frozen. Staff was nice enough. We had to ask for menus, ask quite a few times for other things. They ran out of veg lasagna. We had a great time nonetheless. Great location. Wine was good and the waiters got friendly when they realized how friendly and laid back we were but i wouldn't go here again. Too many great places in NYC. I lived in Italy. This is far from good Italian.

Nice and fresh organic food!
I went to the restaurant last night with 5 other friends and we all were highly satisfied with the food and service at Organika. The food was delicious!

The food is the star
I have eaten here a few times and have not been let down. The food is the star here. It can be a little crowded, especially in winter when they don't have the outdoor seating, but the food and service compensate for that. The spinach salad with hard boiled eggs and pancetta is amazing and is almost a meal in itself. There are always choices of fresh fish and other entrees. I will be back.

A dinner at organika
food was ok but nothing special. senese salad was very nice but I found the pizza crust and sauce to be boring, and not really up to nyc standards. The rigatoni was pretty solid but certainly nothing special. The waiters were helpful and friendly. The only real problem with the evening was that the restaurant, which looks nice enough, was freezing and seemed only to be heated with little space heaters. It was a great value, though, since we had a coupon.

Great!
Eating and listing of staff and some customers speaking Italian made to feel I was in Italy. Margaretta Pizza was simply delicious. The tomato sauce made it for me. I can taste fresh tomato from the scrach. It was salty but worked beautifully with mozzarella. My spaghetti alle vongole with red sauce was bit salty and clams were small ones BUT it worked and LOVE IT! Eggplant lasagna was good as well.

best tiramisu outside of rome
pauliepasta, you could not have possibly been in the same restaurant-pepe, the owner is lovely and gracious-the service is attentive but not rushed, so if you are in a hurry, ray's might be better for you. their pizza is amazing-a sweet thin crust with fresh buffalo mazzarella, and an excellent choice of wine and prossecco.
