The food is the star
I have eaten here a few times and have not been let down. The food is the star here. It can be a little crowded, especially in winter when they don't have the outdoor seating, but the food and service compensate for that. The spinach salad with hard boiled eggs and pancetta is amazing and is almost a meal in itself. There are always choices of fresh fish and other entrees. I will be back.

A dinner at organika
food was ok but nothing special. senese salad was very nice but I found the pizza crust and sauce to be boring, and not really up to nyc standards. The rigatoni was pretty solid but certainly nothing special. The waiters were helpful and friendly. The only real problem with the evening was that the restaurant, which looks nice enough, was freezing and seemed only to be heated with little space heaters. It was a great value, though, since we had a coupon.

Great!
Eating and listing of staff and some customers speaking Italian made to feel I was in Italy. Margaretta Pizza was simply delicious. The tomato sauce made it for me. I can taste fresh tomato from the scrach. It was salty but worked beautifully with mozzarella. My spaghetti alle vongole with red sauce was bit salty and clams were small ones BUT it worked and LOVE IT! Eggplant lasagna was good as well.

best tiramisu outside of rome
pauliepasta, you could not have possibly been in the same restaurant-pepe, the owner is lovely and gracious-the service is attentive but not rushed, so if you are in a hurry, ray's might be better for you. their pizza is amazing-a sweet thin crust with fresh buffalo mazzarella, and an excellent choice of wine and prossecco.

Just like in Italy!
We stumbled upon this little GEM by accident a few nights ago. We had a wonderful experience there, from start to finish! The bruschetta was some of the best in New York City. Everything we tasted was simply out of this world! The wait staff and owner were SO friendly, we felt right at home. I can't believe we haven't tried this place sooner. The food is seriously- just like in Italy!!!! I would highly recommend it to anyone. We can't wait to take our friends there.

My new favorite Italian restaurant.
I highly recommend you check out Organika. The food is excellent, fresh, and delicious. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable and the ambiance is homey. Everyone in the kitchen was speaking Italian. I'm pretty picky about eating Italian food out at restaurants, but Organika has it together. And Southern Italian is especially difficult to find done well. They understand what good Italian food is--and not to mention that they take special care to supply their kitchen with seasonal and local produce and products whenever possible; and when it's not, it's from Italy. I'm excited to have a new favorite in the West Village! Looking forward to my next visit.

Great Food, Ideal Location
Absolutely LOVED the carpaccio & the salads. All the food is local/organic. The beef in the carpaccio dish is artisinal and some of the best I've ever had! The veggie lasagna and faro pastas were also really good. Would happily return.
