Absolutely everything about this place is great except every time I order delivery (to a location 4 blocks away), it takes more than an HOUR to get my food. 1st time I thought it was a fluke. 2nd time, I thought maybe it would be better at a different time of day. Tried one last time...they failed again. It is ridiculous that it should take more than an effing hour to go 4 blocks, when I know darn well that when eating in-house, their kitchen makes the food very quickly. Fix your delivery system, Opal Thai. There is no excuse!

I tried almost every Thai place on seamless minus the ones with one or two stars. Opai came out the clear winner. Their drunken noodles and pad see ew are great! I also love their calamari and chicken/shrimp dumplings. If you can do their $8 lunch do it. It's always too much food and for a great price. Their delivery is normally like 15-20 minutes except on Fridays around 6-7 when they are much busier.

Easily the best the Thai food on the UWS. The food is fresh and tasty - not greasy or too salty as you find in many Asian restaurants on the UWS. The chicken / shrimp dumplings are amazing. Also love the Drunken Noodles. They can cook any dish to the desired spice level. The decor is sleek and modern. And service is attentive. Their $8 weekday lunch special cannot be beat (includes an app and entree).

I really enjoyed my meal at Opai Thai. The food was really good, the servers were very attentive and the food didn't take long. It's affordable and good for the whole family.

So far, we've tried the pad woon sen, pineapple fried rice, green curry, duck tamarind, crab rangoon, and curry puffs at this place. All have been delish and the service has always been great. My favorite is the pad woon sen. I've never tried that noodle dish before but now I'm hooked. It's different from the other Thai noodle dishes in that it's not as heavy. A must try!

I have high standards ; Opai is high quality and delicious, prompt delivery; house soup, cashew chicken, sweet and sour shrimp all excellent; some of the best Thai I've had and a great addition to UWS!

We loved Charm and were sad to see it go, Thought we would give this place a try, but what a mistake! the chicken Satay had pieces of chicken that most people would throw away. Not only was the quality terrible, it was overpriced for the portion (we threw it all away). cashew chicken was so so as was the pad Thai.
