Just went there last night for the first time and had a blast! The decor is really nice. Some time around 10 pm a bouncer showed up at the door. For men, if you have sneakers, you basically could not get in. Luckily for me, I came early with a friend and had dinner and stayed after hours. I had their skirt steak and it was one of the best skirt steaks I ever had. I had an appetizer and is great as well. The price was reasonable. Met the owner last night and he was very down to earth and welcoming. The male bartenders and waiters seemed more personable than the female staff for some reason. The place really started to pop and fill up around midnight when they turn out the lights and turned into a club. It was a diverse crowd, mostly Hispanic then black , then a few good looking Caucasians with rhythm. If you love beautiful Latin women, this is definitely the spot. Defiantly lots of eye candy. The bartenders are great and the hookas are a nice touch. The DJ was great but the music was a bit heavy on the salsa and merengue. Would have appreciated a little more balance of hip hop, reggae, dance and pop. I basically figured out this place's gimmick. Good looking male bartenders and staff draw in the females. The females draw in the guys. If you are just a bunch of dudes coming in you will wait on line for a while. If you are with a girl, you'll get in quicker. If it's a group of girls, you get the express lane in. I defiantly recommend it and plan to go again with more people. Reserving a table with a party seems like a way to go. Warning: parking in the area was a B@%#! If you are not in the mood to drive and find parking, It's a block away from the Lorimer Street

This restaurant is fabulous, the decor is beautiful, the drinks are banging and the people are awesome . The owers are very nice and greet you with a smile. The food is like no other. Every dish I ordered was delicious. They have a mature crowd always. I think I will make this my regular spot for THURSDAYS AND FRIDAYS.

I recently moved to Williamsburg and have to say I was shocked to see such a nice looking place on Grand street. From the locals it seems Grand st has been booming with new restaurants but noting like Ooba. It looks like it's straight out of NYC. I was even more impressed when I looked at the menu posted outside showing how great the prices were. I had the churasco steak with plantain mash, papas bravas and the camarones con tocino (shrimps with bacon over grilled vegetables wow!). For such an upscale looking place I think prices are more than reasonable and me and my girlfriends left our plates clean. I'm sure we will be going again. Thumbs up all the way

I ordered croquetas de pollo with a house salad. The croquetas were made most of potatoes with little or no pollo and the house salad was garnish. This order was ordered to go, very disapointed when I went home and open the bag. If you pay for something you should get want you pay for it.
