After reading all of the positive reviews, I was psyched to try this place out because I'd be in the area. After my experience, I had mixed feelings. When I walked in, there was immediately a weird vibe. There were youngish men sitting at the bar with rap music blaring, then in the dining room, there were a lot of families and young couples eating dinner. Bizarre clientele! The menu was on the placemat - generally not a good sign either. Our waiter was just okay: not very attentive, but not rude or anything. I was kind of annoyed because he told me that what came next to my potato was butter when it was actually sour cream - I didn't realize this until after I slathered it all over my potato and tasted it. However, the scallops were amazing and the crab legs were really enjoyable. The hostess was really sweet, too. I guess if you can ignore the weirdness of the atmosphere and focus on the seafood, the place could be totally worthwhile - but no way would I go back up 80 blocks just to dine here!

After a concert at the Garden one night, my friends and I headed over to the restaurant at about 1am. To my surprise this place was still jumping! The food tasted so fresh and the service was great too. The waiter was enthusiastic and the background music was really nice too. Overall we had a delicious meal, great quick service and the prices will keep us coming back everytime we come to the city to hang out.

This is the prototypical NYC Restaurant. Close quarters, hands-off service, lots of atmosphere and awesome food. I would try to hit up this place every weekend, and whenever there is a friend of mine or a friend of a friend in town, I take them here. From San Diego, Kansas City, Boston, Montreal, they all say the same thing a) This is the greatest fish I've ever had and b) can we come back here again. I recommend visiting late night when it's busy and you can have a drink with the awesome fish. I recommend the Rainbow Trout. You can knock the service or the close quaters, but people come to good restaurants in NYC for a reason: the food.

Food is good. no comment on that. However, for us, who orders for delivery, prices are not agreeable. Imagine, for take out, they have to charge extra money for the containers they're going to use.50 cents to a dollar! it should be included in their service already. If u want to sell something to those who can't come to you, you treat them as if they're in your place of business, right?!

I had the Tilapia with parmesan and herbs, which was very good. The salad came out quicker than our drinks, which was interesting. But that salad tasted like sand - it didn't have sand IN it, but it's a taste I know from childhood. Overall, I think you'll enjoy the restaurant and would suggest going because they have so much to choose from.

I came to eat dinner here with my friend and the food was excellent! The service wasn't that great- the waiter seemed to either be overworked or just a bit absentminded but the food made up for it! The atmosphere is also great- when you walk in, you can just hang out by the bar all night (if you don't want dinner) and listen to some hip-hop music...if you want to sit down and eat I'd recommend the shrimp scampi over linguini-- it was so good! Very fresh, just enough for me to eat. My friend had shrimp parmigiana (it's fried) and that was good too. For an appetizer we had stuffed baked clams (it was stuffed with shrimp and crab and stove-top tasting stuffing)--that was pretty good too. They automatically bring you salad and some garlic bread when you come in- the salad could be better- the dressings were great but the salad tasted like it came str8 out of a bag- for dessert I had vanilla ice cream (tasted like breyers)- all in all- I would say this place is great- great seafood. Oh! Girls came by offering free shots of hypnotic- yum!

This is my second visit to One Fish Two Fish. I enjoyed myself and the food was extremely good. The atmosphere was terrible....there was hardly enough space to breath.....the servers have no space to take your order....But if you're hanging out with a couple of friends (may be one...lol....if I recall there are only one or two booths) and want to dine in a live atmosphere.....you will enjoy it:)
