best salmon steak ive had in a while!
We always came here as students at mt sinai across the street, and now when in nyc always try and grab a meal here. Well this time as always the food was GOOD! We had two newbies and they raved about it too! I highly recommend it for everyone.

quality of the food and atmosphere has declined
We live in the neighborhood and can truly say that the quality of the food and atmosphere has declined while the prices have risen. For example, the famous unlimited salad bowl has been replaced by a small salad plate.

Under New Management
I hadn't been to the place in several years. When I happen to be at Mt. Sinai, I figured I'd try it again. I was told that new management had taken over a couple of months ago. I'm not sure what was wrong with the old management, but the new management seems to be doing everything right. The food was great, the prices were outstanding for NYC given the quality, and the service was courteous and helpful without being overbearing. The chef even brought us out a new dish to try that he had just added to the menu. We tried the cajun catfish with fries, the spaghetti with clam sauce, and the steamed clams. Everything was done as well as it could be and being Italian, we've had our share of clam sauce. With a side salad, and garlic bread as part of the meal we didn't have room for dessert. We will certainly go back when we are next in the neighborhood.

First Time
my niece loves their crab legs so we went for her birthday. my husband had the marinated steak said it was delicious. niece had steamed lobster with additional shrimp scampi , was wonderful. my crab legs were plump with meat , atmosphere and service were more than good. waitress very friendly and bar crowd seemed like friendly locals mixed with nurses from mt sinai. would absolutely recommend.

Not like it used to be!
When told I was going to One Fish Two Fish for lunch, I was excited. Had not been there for years. The value and service was good. The food was just ok. The stuffed trout had no seasoning. The shrimp stuffing was from a box and what damage could be done to a baked potato. Probably will not go again for years.

Never Again!!
Went out to celebrate my 2 sister's birthdays. My neice likes lobster and always wants to go there because she didn't feel like going to City Island. The waitress Lola after us being seated was impatient, so she just walked away. I couldn't believe it and told her we were looking for her and she just disappeared. She mumbled something and we changed our minds and needed a extra 5 mins. When we finally got her attention we gave our order and it took her a while to put it in. Never once did she asked us if we wanted something to drink. My son pointed that out and we had to call her over for her to take our drink order. My neice and I had a cotton candy drink from the bar which was very good. My son and neice liked the new england clam chowder. I ordered the spicy catfish and it came with a side which I choose the baked potato. When my order came I had a whole catfish filet and half of one and the baked potato was so small I was surprised they sent it out. Good thing I saved my salad from the beginning or I would of been eating that not to spicy catfish. My neice and son didn't like the lobster or the sorry looking corn on the cob that came with it, the butter for the lobster was nasty said my son. My other neice had the chicken and shrimp parm and said the chicken was good. My sister's thought their meals were so-so. After our meal was finshed my neice asked for a piece of cake to celebrate her mom and auntie's birthday, they brought out a peice of red velvet cake and a piece of pie, sang happy birthday for them and left. My sister wanted to wrap her food and and the cake to take home. I asked Lola for the bill and noticed that they charged us for the PIECE of cake and the PIECE of pie 3.95 and 4.95. When my neice asked the guy if he can take off the cake and pie she said he "shot her down" said "we don't do that here". That should of been told to her prior to her asking for it. She is only 13 and should of been talked to better, she was trying to do something nice for her mom and auntie. I told my neice that this was the last time we were coming to this restaurant. Next time we will be going to...you guessed it... CITY ISLAND!

Unpleasant
Don't be fooled by their low prices and large portions. This is probably the worst food I have had since moving to the city. I ordered the stuffed shrimp and what arrived were a few tiny pathetic pieces of shrimp sitting atop a pile of what looked like stuffing I would stuff a turkey with. It tasted like a Thanksgiving dinner gone wrong. My boyfriend ordered the Chicken parm. The sauce tasted like it came out of a Ragu can. We both left hungry and extremely disappointed. I would only suggest coming here if you want fairly cheap food in an atmosphere reminiscent of a slightly upscale Denny's.
