    Excellent Japanese Food

Whenever I come into the city, I make a point to have dinner at Omen. Being Japanese, I'm fairly particular about the food as some restaurants are not run or do not have Japanese chefs that serve the food. That is not the case here. Everyone is Japanese and the food taste, quality and presentation are to die for. Be sure and try the Black Miso Cod. I could eat this daily. Omen is a wonderful dining experience. I brought a foodie and a non-foodie there last week and both loved the food and atmosphere.

If you're in the area stop by

My boyfriend and I stumbled on this place about a year ago. We are both chef in NYC and we try to find new places off the beaten path. A friend recomended it and we thought that we would give it a try. We are hooked! We have been going back ever sence, the food is outstanding, the service is excellent. If you are going to try anything to drink may I suggest the Pacific Rainbow and the Ginger Saketini, they are out of this world. Just remember to bring cash or a american express because they don't take any onther credit cards.

    Underrated

Here is a Japanese restaurant that is actually underrated. What a concept! The food is simple, fresh, honest, and elegant. I didn't detect any B.S. here. Wonderful sashimi.

Great place for fast, good food

Wanted to have a quick dinner and walked in without reservation. Got seated straight away. Staff is very friendly and actually prepared something off menu after request. Had the kobe beef, shrimp app, cod and some sashimi which was absolutely great. As a dessert the very interesting - vanilla ice with herb syrup. The bill fit the amount of food. The only thing was that is was a little uncomfortable to sit on the wooden chairs. The atmosphere wasn't that great but who cares if you want a good meal?

    A pleasurable dining experience

A very pleasing dining experince that I will gladly do again. There's more to Japanese cooking than sushi.
