great take out
Have ordered the Om mixed grill 3 times and each time have received amazingly tasty tender chicken, fish and lamb. Large enough to share. Really a fantastic find.

best indian on the UES
I've never been moved to write one of these reviews before, but after our third meal from OM I wanted to share the love. The food is delicious, the price is awesome (especially the $14 take out/delivery deal), and the people are so lovely. If you're thinking of Indian, definitely give this place a chance!

Great little place
I don't have a lot of experience with Indian food, but I love food and especially enjoy spicy food. This place is clean, the owner friendly and the food is great! They don't have a liquor lic so you can bring your own. To top it off its very inexpensive. I have been there twice and it tends to be quite. I think the staff is still working on knowing the menu, you really need to ask the owner, Mike for help explaining the food. Which is why I marked the service as a "3.5"

Excellent food and atmosphere-shockingly inexpensive!
We stumbled upon this jewel just walking around looking for a nice place. The small but elegant dining area gave a great atmosphere and the open front allowed a nice breeze without feeling like passersby were staring at us. Even the street construction nearby didn't affect the peaceful feel of the place. The staff were really friendly and very knowledgeable about the cuisine and gave great recommendations. I'm a vegetarian and my friend is a meat eater and we both found our food (lentil soup, sprout salad, chicken vindaloos) light and full of flavor (not greasy like many Indian places). They didn't yet have their liqueur license but were more than happy for you to buy wine, beer or liqueur from the shop right next door (made it even cheaper) and didn't charge a corking fee, etc. Great experience and I'd highly recommend it!

We dined in, and it was amazing!
My girlfriend and I ate here last week, and the food was delicious! We had samosas, garlic naan, chicken vindaloo and korma, and everything was fantastic, particularly the samosas. And the portions, while not huge, are certainly reasonable. Quality of food rivals our favorite Indian place off Union Square, but Om is probably less than half the price, and it's in our neighborhood. Please keep this place in business! (We were the only customers dining in the night we were there)

Disaster
I ordered dinner from Om through Seamless Web. The food took nearly 2 hours to arrive. When it did, the Chicken Tikka Masala contained - I counted them - four (4) small pieces of chicken swimming in sauce. Never again.
